The Atlantic is expanding at about 10 ppm (points per month).
If you covered the surface of an ocean with text visible from satellite imagery, and copyrighted the text, you could sue Google Maps.

I am curious about the type of ink we would need to use. It would need to float and couldn't be water soluble, yet it would need to allow the water to soak through so as to be evaporated. It would also need to be non toxic.
