1190: "Time"

Here’s something a little different, as an experiment. Replaying the
Time comic. It may take off, may not, who knows.
The comic
Time has 3094 frames (by
this website).
Rule of this thread: you can post a new frame as long as the last one was posted no less than 6 hours ago. (this way, we have enough frames to last a few years)
Here we have frame 1.

Oh wow, I didn't know blitzing the entire Time thread could be so easy.
EDIT: Of course I had to be the nerd that does the math: the last frame will be posted no earlier than the 15th of October, 2023.

After a long sleep, the molpy emerges from its burrow a bit bleary eyed, but otherwise well rested.

Huh. It's just two people sitting. It says "wait for it" but I've been waiting a couple minutes now and nothing's happened. Is this some weird abstract thing? Is there some deeper meaning that I'm missing? Well, whatever, it's just one comic, there'll be another in a couple of days and people will just forget about it. Certainly not the start of a super-long animated story with an extremely low framerate that will spawn an entire community with its own language and religion…

It would appear that Somi has been corrupted by
heretic language. I’m sure he meant to say “Seadix 9 Voyage, 10 A.T.”

Ooh look, she's looking behind now! I wonder what's back there?
(Ah yes, I remember anxiously waiting to see what the next frame would bring each hour...)
Oh by the way did anybody notice there's a little piece of javascript on the page? What do you think it does???

So.
It has come to this.
For the first time in history there is more than one "Time thread".
I should have expected this but somehow the
Now we not only have the OTT (one true thread),
but we also have the OTT (other time thread).
(actually, I never liked the name "One True Thread" and almost never used it.
But I like the abbreviation 'OTT' because it's short and easy to remember.
Oh no, what now?
actually,
at this point of time.
I'm not afraid.
!!!but what is this time-thread-shaped-thing supposed to be I don't
Does this look like a continuation of the time thread?
no.
(also the thread still continues on the mirror)
Does this look like a competition for the time thread?
a replacement?
also no.
Does this look like a social experiment?
kind of.
Does this look like a forum game?
Yes, totally.
Especially with the rules for frame posting.
Welcome to the game, everyone!
(how do I win?)

The only winning move is to wait for it.

You win if you post the frame at T** **d.
But, while you may win, everyone loses.
It's a double-edged sword.

But, while you may win, everyone loses.
Of course, since you are in the set of everyone, you both win and lose. The paradox resolves by the universe restarting some time a little under a year later.

Those last two images look identical. Perhaps someone should do a comparison to see what's changed?
