3063: "Planet Definitions"

Post by ratammer »

Title text: Under the 'has cleared its orbital neighborhood' and 'fuses hydrogen into helium' definitions, thanks to human activities Earth technically no longer qualifies as a planet but DOES count as a star.

If no-one is looking at a planet right now, does it really count as a planet?

I believe only habitable spaces are planets

Most likely that correlates with the Marine Biologist definition.

It just occurded to me that the empiricist definition could suggest Randall has never seen the Sun.

I've never looked directly at the sun so I have no proof it actually exists.

Not even on accident? You've never accidentally gotten sun in your eyes?

Based on observations conducted during a university lecture that happened to coincide with a partial eclipse I can confirm that the Sun does in fact exist, is further from Earth than the Moon and that the TA was not amused by the distraction.
