What does this button do?

I have just stumbled across a small box. It is oval in shape, with a clear, plastic domed cover. Inside is a red button surrounded by felt.

But its physical description isn't really what's important. Obviously.

What does it do? What will happen if someone presses it?

Well, before you even bother to suggest: "Herp derp, well why don't we just press it and find out, herp derp?" No.

I'll not allow it. This thing could be dangerous...

It might launch every nuclear missile on the planet, or something!

Or, maybe it just murders a single, random stranger to you but also gives you a million dollars.

Its very purpose might be a really trolly social experiment to see how much we're willing to fight each other over what it might or might not do, when in actuality it does nothing.

Regardless, I think we should at least talk about this. What do y'all think? Any ideas?

Given your description of the box, I wonder whether it isn't just a fancy chocolate in a red plastic wrapper.

One of those useless machines that turns itself off when you turn it on?

Maybe our universe truly is a simulation... but, it's also Minecraft. And if that's the case, I really don't advise pushing the button, because you really shouldn't go messing around with someone else's redstone unless you know exactly what you're doing.

Maybe pushing it will reveal an identical small box and this is the one whose button you shouldn't press.
