I'm pretty sure I know what you're eluding to, don't worry.
Re: Halloween 2024: The Time Travellers' Party [D2]
I'm pretty sure Wam is claiming to be one of the two jacks mentioned in the daystart post. See here for exampleJC_DADDY25 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 6:38 pm With Wam's claim in willing to hold off on eliminating him, though my first thought was role cop when he described his results. Also curious as to why his results were not loud like the other two joats
What is it about wam's claim that makes it read so town to you?JC_DADDY25 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 7:17 pm With Wam claiming to be a 3rd Joat, that bumps him up from bottom of the list to where I have Mak so you and Bessie drop down which means we're looking at a scum team of Moody, Somi, and Santy/Bessie...
Somehow it seems too easy to establish that already, but this is based off of Seven and Wam being honest... which I feel they are.
Totally going to bite me in the rear later, I'm sure.
Honestly not sure how relevant your speculation about Adum's role is to your reads, but you do you.Freddino18 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 10:40 pm Under threat of "do reads or be night killed", I feel justified in my actions.
Well, it's not like madge could know ahead of time what role the backup ends up with, but in more general terms "why would a setup with two of everything need a backup?" is a good question.JC_DADDY25 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 11:02 pm So do you think Wam is lying about there being 3 joats?
Also, why would the traffic analyst need to go to a backup of there already was a second one?
I have no idea what prompted this, but then I'm not even entirely sure what you're talking about.Freddino18 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 11:02 pm Also, Somi, if you're going to go that far, please at least go the whole distance and read the wiki entry for the character.
Good for you, this conversation eludes meJC_DADDY25 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 11:30 pm I'm pretty sure I know what you're eluding to, don't worry.

Wam wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 10:00 pm Tbh I think it's POE run through the list and it should.be OK.
If its mutliball and 2/2/7 we have 2 mis elims after me
If its not and us 3/8 we have 2 mis elims after me plus a NL at mylo.
I think myntown core earlier is solid which means scumust be in
JC
Bessies
Somi
Moody
Santy
So either 3/5 or 4/5 so hit everyone on the list we win.
@mak
I have left in my JOAT tool box
Cop (was saving for closer to endgame)
Roleblocker
Parrot - weird one I'm not going to explain as it's more useful that way
Doc (was saving for closer to endgame)
Are you clearing thea+Fred even if its multiball? If so, why?

No, there isnt because its not going to make us magically trust Wam + unknown other role to yeet could also be more useful to town.
Yeet the scummiest player is always the priority here to advance most of our solves

Re: Halloween 2024: The Time Travellers' Party [D2]
Also, this is moot advice atm. But if you are town, saving cop role as joat to late game is a really bad strat. The check has much more value early (specially if you know who to target . Doc does have more value later . But f.e. if you are town you having a check would leave us in a far better position than the watcher on a slot we cant be sure was actually nked

Somi you misinterpreted (not intentionally) 3-4 things in that post.
Seven (she, him, their)

Current Solve is Wam+JC+Mak . Specially in Scum!Wam worlds would be very surprised if the other two names dont contain at least a scum

I think Somi should go next. I don't see town paying that little attention to everything. It's rather extreme.

Re: Halloween 2024: The Time Travellers' Party [D2]
Its the opposite. As scum is much more easy to not be up to date on social stuff that happened, but clarity on night actions is much more easy to have as town.
For example in Scum!wam worlds, the fact that wam claimed to know there is 3 JOATs should be something present on any scum. Somi is totally oblivious to that, and is solving/making connections with the sparse information they have. It reads as uniformed which is more towny than scummy

From this post where he claimed, he made it clear he was not one of the joats from the d2 start.
I don't know if Wam is town, but he seems more town than others so I moved him up the list. Never said I considered him conf-town.
Like my post said, I'm content with letting him cook, and looking back at this slot later.

Hmm. I think in my experience town!somi is more observant because he is trying to solve. Scum!Somi isn't trying to solve just have thread presence.Santygrass wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 12:03 amIts the opposite. Re: Halloween 2024: The Time Travellers' Party [D2]
Fair. I may be a bit confbiased in my current view and being maybe too generous in the townread there, so willing to reassess. But uh standalone even with that knowledge I think is hard to fake (or would imply somi just isnt paying attention to scumchat which I really not see as likely).Seven wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 12:09 amHmm. Also agree with moody mak read feeling towny, or moreso what is in my head is that everyone else seems okay with pushing them having them in the PoE , and moody from a thread perspective feels like, *super alone* . You could vaguely pair him with anyone, but no one feels linked to them, making an effort to engage with , townread or scumreading them much , moreso like a lhf shrugyeet that seems feasible is how I am seeing with their trademarked Cynical view

Re: Halloween 2024: The Time Travellers' Party [D2]
Also totally unrelated to whats being discussed atm .
But I had mentally noted that beddie reading thea+Fred as indies survivors seemed like a pretty plausible read, but also one I think is more likely to come from scum (Because you would discard the scum multiball theory to have some good confidence there)
its not a strong read since its also a possibility that I also vaguely entertained, but since bessie at least had sorta more teeth there wanted to mention.
