One time as a kid, I was reading a book that said something like: "A palindrome is any word that reads the same backwards as forwards, like 'wow'!" But I didn't realise "wow" was meant to be an example, I thought that was just the writer's reaction to the concept.

i did a RAT and it was positive!!!!
(RAT = rapid antigen test, our word for the at home covid tests)
