Song Contest (Reprise)
Re: Song Contest (Reprise)
Thank youall!
I love Clamavi de Profundis, so really stoked to get a win with their Christmas medley.
I will think about a new theme overnight, and hopefully it will be up tomorrow.

Re: Song Contest (Reprise)
Blargh! Sorry about that all - I got sucked into an audit at work so it's been a bit crazy the last week.
Anyway.
Having dealt with Christmas, I'd like to move on to the next significant event: New Year! But I'm going to throw the gates open a little wider than just songs about new year's eve or new year's day. We shall have a round about Renewal.
New Year songs are of course OK, but also Winter into Spring, Solstice, anything that suggests to you a renewal or revitalisation of something.
Since one week from now will be Christmas Day, I'll set the deadline to a couple of days later.
Deadline will be 2024-12-27 21:00 JST (which is 12:00 UTC)

The deadline has passed, but I have received one vote for which I need clarification. The person who sent in the vote hasn't yet seen my return message, so I will wait until I receive a response before finally tabling up the results.

Clarification received, so all voting is now final.
I'm back at work now, so I'll try to get the results tabulated this evening.

Re: Song Contest (Reprise)
Yeah, this was an all-'round great selection.
Re: Song Contest (Reprise)
Ooh wow, yeah, that was close! I'll put up the next theme later.
Re: Song Contest (Reprise)
Yeah, I had a hard time ordering everyone else's songs. Guess you guys weren't ready for mine

Re: Song Contest (Reprise)
OK, it doesn't look like we've yet done the theme of duets! Please get your submissions in for 17th January!

Re: Song Contest (Reprise)
Honestly dug that one, too - in the end, I had to rank by which ones felt theme-ier to me, as I couldn't arrive at a solution on the basis of ones I liked less ;)
Re: Song Contest (Reprise)
Same! Was a really good set overall, and that one still made my monthly playlistcommodorejohn wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 1:02 amHonestly dug that one, too - in the end, I had to rank by which ones felt theme-ier to me, as I couldn't arrive at a solution on the basis of ones I liked less![]()

Wow. And congrats to somi as well.
Since I ran the round immediately prior to ratammer's, I suggest somi takes the next round. Unless they don't want to, in which case I will
