That greatly frustrates me Bessie. Fred is already at four votes. Why leave now?

Does your role PM tell you whether or not your targets will receive confirmation of you boosting them even if they dont have a power, or if their power cant be doubled?

Do not quote your role PM to answer this, always paraphrase

JC: Bessie left Ahippo before his wagon could generate steam. I need to re-read her.

ahippo switching to Bubbles when bessie put Fred at 5 is notable.

ahippo reminds me of a pre-season 20 Survivor winner competing is Winner at War against post-season 20 players and not able to keep up with him much the game has changed since being away. Still town leaning on ahippo.

Bessie, I'm so sorry to disappoint you, but my guts are already on the floor.

As I read it, there is no explicit definition that the recipient will be told that I am the one who motivated.

Keep this in mind. If Ahippo is scum, Bessie is scum.

Generally as town Bessie has a tunnel. Yet when she is mafia she usually has a placeholder vote. Then moving her vote at such a key moment, pings me.

Mak, this is why I think competing wagons are healthy. I wouldn't have seen this without that being a thing.

So, 5 pages, busy day at work, still not signing on for the last hour, so this is gonna be one of prob two posts I'll be able to make. I've had to skim hardcore because I just dn't have time at work this morning.

my starting point:
- ahippo, fred, and heury are going to be protected by me
- bubbles is kinda scummy ig but not a wagon i want to push, would join tho

let's see where we end up...

- i agree we prob have an indie in this game.

- bessie is making the point i constantly make which is we need to vote off people who are a liability late game all else being equal. this is convincing me that Fred is votable.

- still don't understand boom thing but ok whatever

- let's not vote heury because that matrix is helpful and i wanna keep it. that said, it's the sort of thing i'd make as scum to work out good kill targets, soooooo.....

- @Mak why is it scummy to vote ahippo due to claimed PR? like, i don't think they're scum, but their PR and claimed target strategy seems neutral to good for scum

- hard townread on heury for survivor reference <3 <3 <3

I feel bad voting off a new visitor to the forum D1, but this is what we have, and I said I'd join the wagon:

vote tehbubblez

I'll be back in 20 minutes, and that will be my last post, I will not read the game thread until after deadline

In one way thank god it's night soon bc I'm gonna need a few days to parse the last few pages. Gut thoughts it's hurting JC and EGW for me, and really helping Heuristically. The attempt at a blitz on hippo is crazy. Similar to Fred I can get the frustration votes more than the "I think he's truly playing scummily." But god Hippo has at least given us something. And he's now shown willing to give something when pressed.

Regarding Fred are we seriously not gonna get anything else Day one?? Maybe I
bessie wrote: Mon Jan 20, 2025 1:10 am Fred is another player that will be a liability late game even if he is town, if he doesn’t contribute. Do you want to be stuck in a three way gunfight at the end with Fred and someone that has been consistently posting content that you can go back and analyze? You also have JC in this category, but JC has at least given us an ordered list.
Bop wrote: Mon Jan 20, 2025 2:04 am I think it's just a matter of opinion where I don't want to be stuck with people I can't analyze, but if they're reading town to me I'd rather them than not. Early at least I think I let that slide more.
Too early bc Bessie is right in that I hate this-maybe I just haven't played forum mafia in too long to have forgotten this specific frustration. When it comes down to hours, I don't even like being stuck in a 15-way standoff praying someone's holster is full. I still think if it comes to him he'd flip town, and leading that charge earlier in the day was the easy scum play, but god I'd like to have more reasons to feel good believing that. If we don't get a defense it'll certainly be harder to gleam anything from any final pile ons for this thing.

I think my exact same messaging to ahippo applies here regarding @Freddino
Bop wrote: Mon Jan 20, 2025 2:04 am Also it helps all of us to know what you were thinking going into the night! Otherwise, in the event say you aren't scum and get night killed which is not a super unlikely possibility, we don't get literally nothing out of it from your end. Day Two is not a given!!!
Just replace night killed with voted off: If you're town, the best thing you can do for this game is at least throw out some reads on people before your time in it might end.

ahippo wrote: Mon Jan 20, 2025 2:14 am Okay fine!

Towniest Trio:
Bop
bessie
Wam

Scummiest ... Three (cuz I couldn't think of a fun alliteration):
EGW
Boomfrog
LaserGuy

Those are in no particular order,
AND none of the scum names have come off the list for my power. Nor do the townies have any extra weight.

Have I appeased y'all? I hope you put as much stock in my opinions as I do.
Honestly yes, this helps! Having a data point to look at later, regardless of where we stand Day Two, even if you've decided to tear it to shreds in your later reads, honestly truly really helps, and I appreciate it.

I strongly scumread Hippo. I blitz him because I want his flip. Him giving content in response to our request doesn't change his alignment. That's what townies need to do, do their best to get their scumpicks eliminated.

I did consider this info could help mafia, but I think the need to rally majority vote against one person the get an elim is a benefit that outweighs mafia ability to be a little more lazy now during night phase
