Why Thea and not Fred in your opinion?
I just don't remember anything from Fred. I actually think Thea is playing performatively. I can go Fred too but it's just kind of a "sure why not" thing - I don't feel like anyone is all that enthusiastic either
I ask, because as of last vote count your vote is on Fred and he is at one less vote than you while Thea has no votes. I understand it was a self preservation vote, but the Wam vote is out there and you're suggesting Thea...I feel like we need more than just why not as a reason.
I understand, it was as a temperature check as much as anything else. It's hard to give a case because there just isn't much to work with. I wonder if Seven feels the same about Wam tbh.

Santy and Wam are playing neighbor-like and some other non-distinct things have given me the impression of outside communication among the crew.

We have just a bit less than 6 hours, non-voting people should vote

I'm not seeing any movement on Wam and it doesn't look like it, so I'll table the slot for now.

Vote: Thea

I don't want either of the two other slots on the table ATM and Thea is just a non-entity, I think we can swing to this.

You would only be worried about bessie aura reading you if your aura is scummy
unvote

And that ends my personal RVS, YMMV. Guess I'll have to hunker down and try to squeeze something out for reads. Plus I don't know if the worst has played with bessie enough to know she doesn't do those as she declared in Dancers.
Why did you end RVS here and not when Santy voted Thea?

I see. The bolded here are incorrect btw:

somi-- asks Santy about multiball, concurs with Seven on wincon phrasing, asks Thea about post restriction, distrust of Seven (and so it begins), likes Adum. +1

Daily bark starting from my last post! The amount of content more than doubled overnight so I will do a quick read and respond to stuff that stands out to me.
JC_DADDY25 wrote: Sun Nov 03, 2024 8:13 pm So Fred is claiming that he had not read his role yet before that confirmation post, but he had a profile picture that he says he usually uses as a breadcrumb to his role that he had changed prior to his first post. Confirmed by his post on regards to making sure it wasn't directly tied by the title to what his actual intent was...
This puts into words some thoughts I hadn’t quite articulated in my mind for the negative points I assigned Fred in my last post. I find Fred’s content scummy.
I like this post by JC. In general, I like his thought process and approach to solving the game

Makhaira wrote: Mon Nov 04, 2024 1:20 am Bessie posting almost all filler is suss and thea seeming to have a positive reaction to her first post that actually provides slivers of reads set off scum pings for me but that would be strangely obvious buddying for the slot, maybe scum!thea trying to pocket bessie? Or maybe I'm not parsing these quotes correctly
Not true. I posted a Woof-Grr list with reasons. Have you done the same?

Freddino18 wrote: Mon Nov 04, 2024 10:36 am Helpful tip: If it's funny, I do it. Absolutely cackling last game.
It would be more helpful if you post an ordered town-scum list with reasons.

Wam wrote: Mon Nov 04, 2024 11:31 am Bessie - neutral
There is very little content by bessies usual standards.
I agree that I have less content than usual. I disagree that it is “very little”. Did you even read my content, or did you just count the number of posts I made?

AdumbroDeus wrote: Mon Nov 04, 2024 3:35 pm Bessie: Their engagement in the game lacks substance. The only things that's come of it with scum hunting significance was the freddino conversation which frankly was purely by accident and "why not respectful?". Willing to elim out of nullness.
I disagree that my content lacks substance. My content lacks volume; you are confusing the two.

Makhaira wrote: Mon Nov 04, 2024 4:18 pm Should be fred or wurst today, I'm fine with bessie but I'm not sure she will be as popular a pick. Interested to see if fred comes thru with a decent alternative case before deadline
Can you give your reasons as to why you support my elimination? Like, can you point to anything I have said that you would consider scummy?

Makhaira wrote: Mon Nov 04, 2024 4:22 pm And by "iterative" re: Thea, what I meant was I wanted to see if this was a passive full time restriction, a passive part time restrict (e.g. even/odd day restriction or D1 only restriction) or if it was a 3rd party imposing the restrictions and whether it would move. Tho Theas most recent post now makes me things it's not a restrictions at all and rather a voluntary bit given the content in parentheses
Read the opening post. There are no posting restrictions. I pointed out in my reads list that Thea is doing this for fun, and that I approve.

AdumbroDeus wrote: Mon Nov 04, 2024 5:00 pm Thea: null, I'm sympathetic to Santy's argument that it's play that would help scum more than town, but given it's not only not a one off and consistent after drew suspicion I think it's some type of Seven like play with some specific benefit intended from it.

Still, if it's gonna continue and they don't find a way to use it to express more nuanced game specific context they're just a burden on the game and should be yeeted.
I disagree with this. Thea’s intent is understandable to those willing to read her content with an open mind. I think this is a lazy read and I think the issue you have with it is either (1) a manufactured issue, or (2) it differs from what you are used to seeing, and you are having trouble processing it so your reaction is negative.

the worst wrote: Mon Nov 04, 2024 9:55 pm i think bessie is cooking but i think jokes aside, her posts could go either way. she is responding to a lot of things and doing the bessie thing [tm]. she's clearly still winding up but we haven't seen her reads like, develop in a particularly noteworthy direction yet. she could either be posting because (1) posting well is her playstyle, and she's prioritising appealing to others (prioritising surviving over solving); or (2) because she's not totally warmed up yet. i really can't call which one it is but a bunch of y'all are townreading bessie for reasons i can't grapple with. if you're town please check yourself on whether you're being lazy here or otherwise just, like, look for two or three things in bessie's posts which you think are actually hard to fake as mafia. she is good at playing both alignments. we don't have to yeet bessie d1, i think that's a terrible idea, but please do not half-ass your read on her, she is far too competent.
I like this read. I agree with much of it. You have zoned in on some old xkcd meta and I don’t have time to go in to it right now, but will if you think it is necessary to your read on me.

the worst wrote: Mon Nov 04, 2024 10:40 pm critically:
- bessie is wonderful and i wouldn't change her for anything in the world
- this was a response to people taking a joke too seriously without wanting to like, dunk on people for taking a joke too seriously
1. I like you too.
2. And I have been taking notes.

if you're not following i can like, phrase it another way, but that's literally as deep as it gets.
If you being scared of bessie was a joke I don't see why you didn't just say that instead of giving an apparently serious answer as to why you'd be scared if you were town.
Negative points to somi for this response.

Santygrass wrote: Mon Nov 04, 2024 11:33 pm Dont buy this read on me in the slightlest , or the read on wam. They didnt interact or tried to call out wam on something not even once.

Feels like thea is spending more time looking at vague quotes that could mean anything that actually solving . Im okay with posting in particular ways , but its perfectly achievable to do so while providing content or see a particular solving headspace. Im seeing none of that with Thea here
Disagree. But I see why you think this.

JC_DADDY25 wrote: Tue Nov 05, 2024 12:08 am In regards to Bessie, she always seems town to me in her pays, but one thing I noticed is the content she posts. In this last game it tended to be a little different since it was harder for her to give actual reads when she was making them up, since she didn't want to clear anyone completely while she was scum.

So far, this seems to be trending in the same direction as far as content goes.

It's day 1, so we'll see where it goes, but something to keep an eye on.
I read the game content and comment on things that I find interesting, and on things that ping me. I play the same way in every game, regardless of my alignment. More than half the content in this game was posted while I was at work today, and I don’t play at work.

the worst wrote: Tue Nov 05, 2024 1:11 am can we go thea if nobody is rly sure who to yeet?

oh my god instead of clicking "post" i clicked "refresh" so I had to count the votals AGAIN won't anyone think of your poor mod and how she suffers

when the game's moving fast i think we'd all appreciate unofficial votals every page or so, but all good, this is literally my one job lol

Votals:
the worst - 4 (wam, somi, thea, mak)
Fred - 1 (moody)
wam - 1 (Seven)
Thea - 3 (adum, santy, the worst)

Not voting: Bessie, Fred, JC

With 12 players alive it's 7 votes to hammer.

Deadline for D1 will be 4 PM China time, 3 AM US eastern, 8 AM UTC, all on the 5th of November. That is approximately four and a half hours from now.
