I was scrolling this thread as a lurker but then my husband wanted to know what the heck I was looking at and I explained the game and in doing so I created an album because I thought my sources were pretty cool ay

My only moral qualm is that the image I used is "all rights reserved" so I am probably doing a copyright infringement here. But fair use or something, I suppose??

Maybe you know the secret trademark that'd find me some English ones?
We don't really have ones like that, at least in the modern day.
Nice one madge! We've never bothered about copyright on a thread like this, I don't think anyone generally cares.

I decided I didn't like my previous cover at all so I made another version using a different concept I had in mind for this

That looks amazing, I've no idea why those lines work but they work so well.

Yeah, I think we're all under what "fair use" often seems to mean on the internet, i.e. doing it for giggles and not making any money off it.

Yesterday I spent some time researching split-flap displays at railway stations in the UK and apparently they were reasonably common (wikimedia has some
photos of one at King's Cross that looks rather new too), but mostly as a big central board inside station buildings. Individual displays on platforms seem to have been rarer based on the
small number of photos people in this forum found, but perhaps it's possible there are more, the photos just aren't tagged with that information. At any rate, they presumably disappeared much sooner in the UK than here.

Yeah, I was going off the album title and aiming for an "unfinished rushjob" kind of feel, but once again I'm not sure if it works. Stylistic suck is kinda hard.

I'm not entirely sure how I got that semi-transparent cloud effect going on the right, but I like it.

Yeah, I got a giggle out of that too, which is why I decided the part in brackets was absolutely part of the title and must be used.
