Would have been easier to wait if Fred hadn't thrown in the towel. Understandable as, if I remember correctly, he's a newer player and this may have been his first 3-person ELO. It was mine as town, although Madge can tell you I was in one as scum against her once.

Yeah, I was absolutely gobsmacked that Fred didn't go to any effort at the end there. I was debating making another post but in the end I was like yknow I think I should keep quiet because I will probably only dig myself a hole and I guess it worked because if Fred had done a full claim at the end I'd say my goose was cooked. His result on me or whatever would totally make his shift on d3 make sense more than my kooky theory lol

How dare you all hammer me that quickly , didnt even got a chance to speak, roode. If I were town and you hammered me that way after saying in thread I had a busy weekend and that I would solve the next day, I would be so angry lol. But Skill Issue I was not

great effort town, we made it a close game after a rough start. sorry I didnt lift more heavily as stump, not even sure I wouldve made the right call on madge/fred tbh I was really torn even over halfway thru a reread. freds fakeclaim really threw me off and I was really doubting my read on the slot because it was so unexpected lol

I really didn't want to go back on the claim, but I had the realization that for moody to vote for a vengeful pointed at the other player was always winning. Unfortunately, I had to open myself up to Madge in order to have a chance at Moody not voting me.

This is one of the reasons why fake claiming as Town is generally seen as negative utility. You can sometimes lock yourself in positions where retracting your claim, or just your claim existing and throwing off the logic of the solve, is detrimental to Town. If you'd just claimed Vanilla, you would have been in a much stronger position in endgame (and I don't think it would have made it any more/less likely that you reach endgame). At end of D5 I was definitely considering writing a post saying that the correct play in the event of my death was to eliminate you in LYLO and let you take your shot to win.

I was thrilled, especially because I know how capable you were of getting out of it. Great play, I knew I shouldn't try and read you directly here, I had to go off PoE and Somi's posts. I hope you'll stick around for a game here and there. Our next game is our annual Halloween game hosted by Madge. Highly recommend, it's always a blast.
