pretty half checked in here, there's a lot of slots i just don't have a strong feeling on yet

i think bessie is cooking but i think jokes aside, her posts could go either way. she is responding to a lot of things and doing the bessie thing [tm]. she's clearly still winding up but we haven't seen her reads like, develop in a particularly noteworthy direction yet. she could either be posting because (1) posting well is her playstyle, and she's prioritising appealing to others (prioritising surviving over solving); or (2) because she's not totally warmed up yet. i really can't call which one it is but a bunch of y'all are townreading bessie for reasons i can't grapple with. if you're town please check yourself on whether you're being lazy here or otherwise just, like, look for two or three things in bessie's posts which you think are actually hard to fake as mafia. she is good at playing both alignments. we don't have to yeet bessie d1, i think that's a terrible idea, but please do not half-ass your read on her, she is far too competent.

every time thea's reads change it follows like some number of other townier people's reads changing first. thea doesn't seem to be able to produce a reason for their reads, so i'm assuming they're just popular reads thea thinks they'll get away with. i don't regret spotlighting that slot earlier and intend to continue to do so.

adum is pretty obviously town imo. i think adum is here to kick mafia butt first, make friends second, and i think this has intesified since people expressed doubts about their alignment. it hasn't felt defensive it's just kinda felt like adum has never been unfocused but has drifted into focus.

wam probably a little less so but on a similar track i think. i like wam's questions and think wam actually cares about them. i think wam feels a tiny bit less obvious than adum does idk. probably town.

i can't really remember why i voted seven but i need seven to do more things too. i actually don't mind their posts too much i just can't remember any off the top of my head lol.

haven't totally worked santy out yet but i think they've been pretty interactive in a way that generally feels like they want to solve, so sure santy can have a lazy townread

moody is doing moody things but in a way that i wanna give more of a pass than e.g. seven doin seven & bessie doing bessie

i'm going to put somi somewhere in my read list based entirely on a whim because i just have this like faintly towny vibe from somi rn. i can interrogate this later i think i just need to start somewhere.

everyone i haven't talked about yet has kinda just not left an impression on me yet sorry!!

varying levels of towny

i'm not super motivated to engage with "the worst is scummy because they aren't here". y'all if people's alignments changed based on their schedules, some of us would be town in every game and half of us would have a new alignment every 3 days. i'm probably the bottom poster, i am the definition of low-hanging fruit so far. this reasoning is lazy and if you're town buying into this, i need you to try harder. i'm not above being scumread or even scumread for silly reasons but like. we also have mafia to find.

anyway definitely keen to engage & try to get more active. i think someone asked for my reads so hopefully those help.

i think i like wam looking for reasons to scumread my memes about being scared of bessie. i liked when someone said "who isn't" that got a smile. i'm struggling with remembering who's posted what so far it'll settle eventually.

@wam why are you conducting your interrogation of me assuming that bessie is town?

i kinda wonder if i actually think thea's reads belong to thea. they're like, a soft reflection of the ~general vibe~ of the thread but i don't feel like they feel that authentic? maybe the somi townread is a little interesting but i think it's fairly easy to find.

maybe i'm interested in more unique perspectives on why people scumread seven. i'm also curious why people other than wam scumread me i guess.

less than half of my posts are fluff. i just have very few, short, posts. if you read those & can't see that they're written by someone who's busy, that's really not on the person who posted them. :|

you're welcome to call me lazy and i think that's valid. i haven't been that into this game so no, i haven't put a tonne of effort into it. that doesn't invalidate me calling other people lazy too. like yeah the arrow flies both ways. i don't pretend it doesn't.

and like right now you're voting me because you don't like being called out for a half-assed activity read. which is also lazy. lol.

arrows all over.

like you're asking me to expand on me expanding on a joke that was kind of a meme what meat are you expecting out of this :sob:

- i think the prospect of being town against scum bessie is very scary because she is good at posting and charismatic.
- i think the prospect of being mafia against bessie is very scary because she is good at posting and charismatic.
- i don't really mind if she scumreads me. as either alignment, honestly. being scumread is totally fine by me i just validity check it and move on with my solve.
- so i'm not really scared of the way bessie reads me i'm scared of the notion of having to play against her

critically:
- bessie is wonderful and i wouldn't change her for anything in the world
- this was a response to people taking a joke too seriously without wanting to like, dunk on people for taking a joke too seriously

i mean if you're actively scumreading me for being absent? yes, that's lazy. i don't think anyone would dispute that the lowest poster itt with <200 words is lhf. i also haven't seen a soul make an effort to critically analyse what i'm posting in a meaningful way except wam. so like yeah this is an activity read and activity reads are clumsy and lazy.

idrk if you've been lazy or unlazy towards other slots because this convo is the first memorable thing you've posted imo

but your read on me is lazy. the vote is probably fair enough but it's like clearly tilt because i'm being uncharismatic af

people are also allowed to be lazy. but folks will have to wrangle with the reality that i'm town at some point in this game so. i'd prefer it if people at least tried to read me with a level of sincerity.
