I'm Rokurou, no wait I'm actually Lunarre! You can definitely believe me this time!
But the party is unconvinced with the rapidly changing story. He hasn't been acting like any of them.
They circle the mysterious ominous figure with weapons drawn.
Fine then, I can see this duplicity won't help anymore.
The party is immediately hit with an overwhelming power.
I am the Empyrean Innominat, the Suppressor. You struggle against reason vainly, but now your struggles are over. I will take away all your pain and suffering. You have all caused pain and malevolance by your struggles but I will save you from yourselves.
"We can't fight him directly", Eleanor cries, "we're not even close to strong enough to resist him right now, but we can create a portal into the earthpulse with Malek arts, it's connections aren't quite the same as on the outside, we can use it to escape!"
The remaining party swiftly retreats into the earthpulse and while Innominat tries to find them, they manage to find and exit in an abandoned water-logged Temple, which Eleanor promptly identifies as dedicated to the water Empyrean, Amenoch, and then goes into a speel about recent developments in archeology. Of course those theories are about a thousand years out of date by this point and if Sorey was here he'd probably be correcting her. However they quickly realize they should get far away from the earthpulse exit point so Innominat is less able to find them, and try to come up with a plan.
As the most trustworthy of the group, Eleanor talks about when they sealed Innominat before. "So, last time in order to defeat him we had to defeat his host after removing the Therions from earthpulse points so he couldn't replenish his power by eating the malevolance they transfer to him. He presumably doesn't have Therions on earthpulse this time because he hasn't had time to prepare and resources, so I think if we can find his host we can weaken him enough to seal him."
The party nods in general agreement, and starts discussing how they can find the host, but glad they're on the right track.
Bop, Innominat, Suppression Mafia marking semi-ascetic absorber has been escaped from (eliminated)
It is now nightfall. The deadline for night actions is set for Sunday February 9th at 12 am est
Expect day start about 2 hours after the deadline. You may try submission after that, but no promises I can incorporate it.
Mod notes:
1. as per usual, I may be able to incorporate night actions after the deadline but no promises, intent is to post day start about 2 hours after deadline.
2. The escape scene is purely flavor, I can confirm that Bop has been eliminated.
3. The "semi-ascetic" modifier in this case means investigation abilities targeting Bop would have failed if he didn't use an absorbed ability that night but no other abilities would. Abilities that fail because of this modifier would still be absorbed, but not other failures.

After leaving the abandoned Temple the group seems to have avoided successfully avoided Innominat's attempts to track them. This gives them hope that they have time to find the host.

I don't want to set a claim order. Town-players, if they followed the plan should cause little interference with each other and scum already knows the plan and thereby the expected outcome. So let's not wait around for specific players to come online.
I jailed JC and I am not motivated.

Full Claim. I am a 2 shot Death Masoning Vigilante. Also irl I got a tooth removed yesterday and hyped on some narcotics, so living large right now.
Moody, Bessie says that she remembers back when you change your profile pic. You were standing in front of a big Texas but first she though you were standing in front of some modern mid century building when she first saw the pic on her phone.
Sabrar wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 8:09 am
@bessie: there was a Secret Santa game where I pretended to have a post-restriction D1 and you were furious about it. We then had private chat from D2. Can you tell me any specific details about it that heury wouldn't know?
Secret Santa 2018 . Bessie pulled up the quicktopic she downloaded from the game. Some discussion on the player rolls submitted and Sabrar ranted about not liking hidden mechanics and not liking Madge's role.
Sabrar attached a bomb to bessie when he neighborized her
Also Bessie told Sabrar her husband performed at an outdoor festival and the lead guitarist threw up on on stage and was carted away to first aid.
Madge claims her scum team has lost and she has no more win condition and that it will be more fun to solve the game and help town. Her one claim that I have no reason to disbelief is that she received a mark of suppression N1 and can't resist the influence of a dreaming god. It seems the other scum team uses some kind of arsonist mechanic or needs to mark majority of players.
Please claim if you received mark of suppression N2 or N3.
Madge claims that N1 wam killed moody and analyzed ahippo and learned ahippo has no chat. N2 Madge killed mak and loudened myself. Madge has a joat toolbox with an unstoppable kill with a special flavor, though she wouldn't specify what that flavor was.
If Madge is lying and there is a scum mate, it most likely will be ahippo. Bessie in particular is overly concerned of phillips choice to target moody and the mod confirmed they would have let a motivator resubmit their action if targeting a tree stump. Ahippo is cleared if she's telling the truth.
It wouldn't be surprising if suppression mafia team also has an unstoppable kill, though I would have expected it to be used last night.

Spoiler (Show/Hide)
God, sorry to hear Sab. No worries at taking some time, seriously.
Okay, trying to get my current D1 reads figured out below. I will probably not use this framing again for my list.
Hearty Stew of Likely Town
Ahippo: I’m not saying role claiming a complicated, contingent on others use twice role after failing to get someone’s night action information when asking if that makes sense and acting relieved to not have secrets can’t be scummy and this can’t be a great play by scum(considering ahippo does have a mafia history, just not a recent one). But I’m saying I’d need a life changing amount of suspicious behavior to see it that way. I do wish he gave/had opinions on anyone that being the case.
Mak: Aggressive early play can go both ways, but I looked a tiny amount at some of the previous games on this forum to get some sort of read bc I kept flip flopping on my opinion. Their posts seem a lot more consistent with Town Mak than the single Scum Mak I could find……but scum mak was more busy in the game I found so it wasn’t as helpful as I wanted. I disagree on many of their takes (first two pages why me fry me being a big one as has already been discussed) but I do think they are legitimate takes at this time. Certainly not afraid to have enemies which is another point for being up here.
Refreshing soup of positive to neutral
Bessie: Her posts are full of specific insights and there’s a lot to gather. For now, seems open and asks specific questions of people, which gives us a lot more to read off of those answers. She is willing to have specific on the record opinions, and that's good this early. That said, if that ahippo vote stays too long as we approach deadline, just for the dislike of the claim that’s dropping her a lot for me. Depends on the next bark.
Boomfrog:
Similar read to Bessie, asks specific and direct questions and doesn’t seem to be afraid of making enemies day one.
Sabrar - I’m starting to like the cut of your jib, does call out specific things. Explicit sideline decision when ahippo began the path to claiming is a little weird.
Simmering neutral ph water (would like to see more before settling):
Teh Bubblez: As discussed before I don’t see their reaction to Mak as inherently scummy. Hasn’t given much to go off of beyond that.
Freddino: Alluded to role through avatar, posted abt take on potential multiball through role pm insights. Not much here yet.
Madge- I’ll need some time to think on where I land on her. While millers and scum both have a reason to claim miller early as it’s one of the two PR I feel scum have incentive to claim in a zanier game(alongside cop) I do think it’s way riskier to claim miller so probably more likely town here. Has been busy and seems to be famously anti day one so opting out of explicit reads entirely bc of the lack of substance. I’d assume this tracks regardless of alignment as that discussion was happening in the signups.
EGW- Recently started being active. Is asking direct questions and giving some takes at least, but too early for me to gleam anything definitive.
Waterier Broth in a Juice Pitcher of Neutral to Scummy:
Moody: Moody has been giving explicit opinions, but Cynical View raises an eyebrow for opening the door to a bit of both sidesing.
JC: Giving themselves a lot of room to go either way on the things they’ve spoken on similar to above.
Lazerguy: Generally being active and asking questions, but Fred vote right after Freddino engages is weak at best and I don’t like it. Also giving themselves an out to flip flop on the handshake interaction doesn’t sit well with me.
Wam: I struggled a bit here, but Wam has a lot more to say abt other games than this one and that reads as choosing not to engage and hoping to slide by.
Heuristically_alone: Has posted reads which is good, but to be honest his defense was far too jokey for me for both times they’ve been voted. I could live with that against my early vote, but against a later one as we get close to deadline??? Also I know it’s day one but they seem to not actually engage for a lot of other direct callouts. Barely engaged for a direct vote. Screams "I don't want to come off as not talking but I also don't want to talk myself into a hole" to me. I honestly stand by my vote.
Bop's first reads list. None of his town reads can be his scum mate. Has EGW as bottom of neutral lead and laserguy as a scum read. Compare it too Bop's most recent reads list.
Bop wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 9:23 pm
Spoiler (Show/Hide)
These reads will very likely change, but quick thoughts right now.
Town
Boom: Flavor confirmed by cop. The reason we’ve gotten any of this claiming started and helped get the ball rolling on Wam. Great at trying to drag reasons out of people who don't leave them.
EGW: Claimed cop, very useful to rooting out scum with all flavor claims on the table. Frustrating reads and would scare me in a lylo scenario, but strikes me as town with their lack of care of how those reads come across.
Sab:Willing to backtrack when wrong, overall came around on the Wam vote, great mechanical write ups. Full claim is detailed as hell.
Phillip: Cleared from prior’s behavior, but that’s not the strongest kind of clear at this point.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty much anyone above this line I’m feeling good about. Obviously claims and actions could change this.
Somi: asks good questions, good at clarifying, pretty much only in this neutral slot bc of getting by flavor claiming after the reveal of why it was happening.
Anyone below this line are my main suspects at this point.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
JC: Ignored a lot of the wam stuff yesterday, voting for the claimed cop without an explainer. In a game with all flavor claimed and full claims incoming, this is an opinion that helps scum.
Heury: Fully the sk worry. This read has jumped around for me all game. Also going after the cop as opposed to anyone else here. Which if I'm right abt sk the reason for that is pretty obvious.
Santy: Wants to coast off of Wam vote, which could easily have been a bus (for instance. Had we decided to believe Wam’s false claim, they could still butt heads publicly in case one of them dies but would’ve basically both been cleared until then.) This also explains Santy’s insistence on only getting Wam’s potentially remaining teammates today-Santy is sure they wouldn’t be on that list, and has told us as such. I'm growing more sure on this. Also with their "I'm locktown" assumption they'd functionally be getting a second night kill through heury if we democratically point him.
Santy is still scummy and EGW has risen up to a town read. Bop could be bussing his scum mate the entire game, but I think it makes more sense for EGW to be his scum mate
EGW wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 6:44 am
Well I targeted Mak and was going to hope he turned out to be a liar, and considered Santy as likely busser for Wam. Never mind on that though.
EGW visited Mak the night he died.
Bop wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2025 3:35 am

b) I did say for now I wouldnt yeet considering multiball or indy hunt, we can force heury to target who we want, and depending on what flips tomorrow we will be sure or not if Malevonce mafia is still here or not.
If malevolence is not killing anymore, or heury doesnt kill who we say , we yeet them
This just seems foolish to me. If there is multiball at
all, we've potentially made
no progress on that front, and it only helps that person/faction to pretend they
can't exist today(especially if we've cleared them based on madge/wam).
And in your strat with heury, couldn't a remaining Malevolence just not use their kill, or get role blocked, leaving you to think "oh, we're safe, lets go kill heury?" And in the other hypothetical where no Malevolence are left, we're be going off of almost fully outdated information in terms of clears and reads. And a hypothetical sk heury would
love to kill who we say bc it wouldn't make a difference to them winning.
This is plain wrong.
First, we *have* made progress even if its multiball, potentially wiping out a faction is one hell of progress to me. And its only benefitial to that scum/indy only if they are cleared/unpaired from the other mafia, we still have PoE slots that are useful to sort through in BOTH multiball and non multiball scenarios, so until having further info/confirmation to me is just a no brainer to solve the slots that no matter the scenario can be scum.
If they dont use their kill, its good for us still. If they get RB'ed is good and have potential info on why it happened later when we see a kill again. And like, doesnt matter if SK!Heury loves that kill, the matter of fact is that it helps *us* more , we have them on a leash regardless and can solve.
I dont mind foolishly believing a potential SK!Heury here for a day, against just doing a very dumb move if heury is town vig here and yeeting them. To me its just playing optimal way and not assuming stuff about the setup when we have no confirmation
Santy has been going after Bop and this does not sounds like bussing.

If Sabrar is happy with what heury's report of bessie's recollection of the Santa game, we can go with that. Also his description of what Madge told him about the Mark tracks with what she told me.

Innominat role says 'marking' , so I think Madge is kinda onto something ? N1 the mark was Madge, and the n2 mark we dont have it claimed. So that someone should claim (with the caveat that Mak was possibly marked as an explanation of why we dont have the claim)
