It's an incredibly interesting deeply thought out take an the super hero genre. A deconstruction in many ways. For example, it has the best handling of prophecy/future sight that I've ever seen and in general handles super powers in a very realistic and consistent way. (Including some heavy and disturbing topics, but not as a main focus of the story)

Unfortunately it's self published online and imo needed an editor. It's very long and could be about half as long and still have all the good parts. The problem for me was that it was so good, once I started reading it that became my main activity for about a month.

btw @ Boom Adum is going to start reading (listening) to Worm soon. I plan on doing Worm Mafia sometime in the distant future. We'll have to plan it for when you're open to playing mafia.

I would prioritize this over 80% of the things on my schedule.

Also, people are not explicitly asking whether he got the mark night 2 or 3. They're just assuming because a discounted noobie mafia player isn't specifying which is....

Sabrar's asserting that maybe Madge made the marks up after bop already flipped as a marking mafia was amusing.

I'm still amused they're assuming that the role cop design was intended to act as a cop together instead of the both being able to poke holes in claims and the complimentary design meaning they aren't treated as inherently counterclaims.

It's not an arsonist mechanic, we'd say arsonist if it was. It's a parity marking mechanic. The text doesn't imply arsonist at all.

Plus it's just that Phillip doesn't count as town for parity. Suppression mafia withheld. Phillip should've said he got it night 2 and was roleblocked n3, but at the same time Phillip is a newbie so people should explicitly ask.

Not the first time there was a mechanical misunderstanding because people didn't ask the right question *cough sabrar and Mak*

Also would there be any interest in a Survivor Org? Basically a game of Survivor where there is a challenge then you vote someone off the island (eliminate from the game) and the winner of the challenge has immunity from being voted off. When there are 3 players left those eliminated vote on who the winner is. Plan would be for the game to be playable with low effort and one challenge a week so game lasting 2-3 months depending on how many are interested.

The "frustration seems real" bit is so funny. It was played up, but it had truth in it!

Very much a "why can two things not be true at once" thing. Also the "maybe scum only had nightchat" assumption. No, we had nice arguments in the daychat where I went "okay, walk me through that I'm listening : )" in the chat and tense arguments in the forum where I went "WHAT DOES THAT MEAN". Totally their idea to not collaborate on reads or strategy during the early day phases which might be what saves us, so good job there. Biiiiiiiiiig might. Mechanic solve can only be disrupted long term if some people misplay it.

ALSO this is not a spoiler but just learned Santy's :hmmyess: is a forum emote from a different forum and not just a catchphrase. I somehow totally missed the :colons: around it when I was playing.

Santy. It was a pleasure playing with you. You are probably wondering if you are correct on Boom. You weren't. You were the only person to understand my desire to solve. It was genuine. However, I am the final scum here. I did lose my WIM. Town me despises that you were elimmed after all that effort you put in. Now, it's possible I die tomorrow anyway. I'm at the edge of death, I'm just seeing how far I can take this. I want death now, but at the same time, I'm making the whole town work for it damn it! I would trade Phillip over you though. You would do the game more good if you were given an extra chance. Yet at the same time, I hope town is having fun solving until they find me. I do think I played sub-optimally here though. I think I over did it. I also don't like playing scum alignment. Release me from this town! Please!

Heaven help us if any of those Sabrar spoilers say "This is where I'd post if I were town."

Contrast in stump utility is very start between this game and Dancers. Here we have confident town and a mediocre stump, then it was unsure (me) or useless (Fred) town with a skilled stump player who I really should have let have his say before hammering (this is me tearing up my OTTer card). What might be argued to be my best contribution was, ironically, my claim order list which let Bop overthink his fake claim and come up with that random element that Sabrar was able to nail him with.

A. Culturally, I am particularly disposed to get nervous about someone with a chancla
B. I've heard the legend of his great reads and an early solve he made one game. My experience with him hasn't backed it up, but we will see in future games.
C. I did say at some point somewhere that it is an irrational hatred of him

A. Good to know, me and my hubby definitely don't have our own chanclas :p

B. His reads were actually really good this game too, he just didn't really articulate them well. I can't say who for obvious reasons, but I talked with him a bit right after the yeet before he was spoiled, he had nailed a lot. Which doesn't mean he played well, I'm just objecting to the useless part specifically. He's got clear strengths AND weaknesses as a player.
