I think Wam legitimately just figured this out. Which suggests he's not aligned with the killer/isn't the killer.
However, I don't think it makes sense for town-Wam to not put basically any consideration or seem to even react to the details of his claim seeming to not match up with what he learned from his role, especially since I already discounted lightning rod and said I didn't have any role knowledge about misdirection, so not a psychic or the like. Even with that strong a day play based townread.
I think the best explanation is otherscum wam, whether Indy or in multiball, the team that I don't think tried to kill me.

Fyi my working assumption was joat 2 (not seven) doctored and mafia.have a ninja. Hence not worrying about your role too much.
I think you predicted my thought process, but I also don't think that really that explains why I was convinced I was the target given I previously claimed lack of role knowledge on misdirection implying I'm not a psychic or the like and not having a lightning rod effect.
I think either you should've figured that out or it should've pinged your scum sensors. Or at the very least if you had that strong of a dayplay townread on me, you should've spent significant effort before trying to figure it out so you could at least know what I know without making it public.
I am genuinely baffled that you made this post and are still voting Wam.

I can confirm that loud, atleast as it was described in my role PM, means that the actions said loud person takes will be published in the game thread

Wait wtf what the hell is publishing cop then

If its not and us 3/8 we have 2 mis elims after me plus a NL at mylo.

I have left in my JOAT tool box
Cop (was saving for closer to endgame)
Roleblocker
Parrot - weird one I'm not going to explain as it's more useful that way
Doc (was saving for closer to endgame)
Oh, I didn't see this before. Very interesting. This is a very powerful JoaT. Are any of these powers Loud? Or have other modifiers of note?
@Seven: Without revealing anything specific on your role, how would you judge the strength of your abilities compared to Wam? Similar? Weaker? Stronger?

"Publishing" is the modifier that normally means "something gets put in the thread".
I had a thought process that Wam could've chosen to say "publishing cop" based on the technical name of the modifier, hoping it was correct, rather than having actually seen it with their role and at least that was a fakeclaim.
Cause the two points of information we're not sure of is whether both JOAT references in beginning of day post is Seven and the actual cop rolename.

I'm genuinely baffled why you don't get that his behavior around my slot just doesn't seem like somebody trying to solve the game from a townie POV.

The actual important question is "why is publishing distinct from loud"?

I'm guessing here publishing puts the result.in thread loud puts the action in thread.

I think wam claiming he DOESNT have a loud modifier actually cuts against the slot here, it would give an anti town roles much more freedom to fake claim for balance purposes, even if it does stick out a bit conspicuously with so many claimed roles have the loud modifier
Adum may be on to something that Wam may have felt the need to explain away the public op result not understanding that "loud" in this game means "publishing" in the traditional sense. Publishing in this context seems redundant and either made up because of the discrepancy in use of these terms in this game from standard definitions due to Wam being uninformed about how loud works in this game, or it could be something else entirely. I have a hunch that it could an anti town roles that is like a super framer/tailor, basically a mafia cop that can pick any slot and then have the mod publishing results of the "publishing cop's" choosing, allowing the scum to publish fake investigations with their chosen result into the game thread to really create substantial disinformation

It would be the opposite according to the wording of my role PM. My PM says specifically that targets and night results will be published by loud modifier. It does not specifically say the name of the action itself will be published, tho that should be more or less obvious from the result returned give how those are usually phrased

Huh weird.
Do you get the results as well as in thread?
Wondering if loud means pm and in thread and publishing only in thread.
Or madge is messing with us and giggling in the background.

"Nobody was killed in the night.
Jack of all Trades used their [cop] power last night
Jack of all Trades targeted [adum] last night
[Traffic Analyst] has been inherited by the Backup
[Adum] is [non-Town]"
This is directly from SOD2 post.
Seven is claiming to be the JOAT cop that targeted adum. What is posted in the first two lines seems to fit that claim.
The "adum is non town" things seems to be different. As far as I am aware, Wam is claiming to not have copped anyone N1, just that he used this watcher/observer power. So the 2nd copping seems to be coming from someone who is unclaimed. Which makes me think it's a scum ability trying to frame adum

Seven is saying that the second result is not directly tied to his role; either someone tracked him or it is a third JoaT.
Wam is saying that two different JoaTs (actually three, including him) all targeted Adum.

This is a really interesting thought process.
I have my own thoughts on the copping, but I'd prefer to wait til we have a bit more information.

I think Mak meant the "adum is non-town" as "the second copping" because the second JOAT ability doesn't say it's power.
