JC's questioning made me realize something.

"Loud" isn't the modifier that means "the mod posts it". That means "the target knows they were targeted by the player". "Publishing" means the mod posts it.

I wanna get Seven to confirm their rolename before I explain this.

Also, Madge and Sabrar are really mean, I was trying to pretend my double vote just... Didn't fucking exist because as town it's not useful til mis-elim or lose or elim or lose, not realizing they intended to consider it in the majority. I'm pretty sure I've never seen it being included in the majority requirements before.

I have the most Indy coded role on the planet and because I'm me, people will interpret it that way.

As I said, I'm one shot (the wording suggests death, so it's possible I was strongmanned but I don't think so), so will I wake up or not? Who knows?

My townread on Bessie conflicts with my suspicion that the cop was a paranoid scumcop pretending to be insane and part of the killing team, and wanted to kill me so they could clear their partner(s) on later days.

The more I think about it the more it makes sense, especially given how she agreed with Seven talking about how terrifying scum me is.

The problem then is, there's waaaaaay too much clearing power for town. So maybe I was wrong, but it could still be an insane scumcop, searching for otherscum. Probably known insane then, with it being a way to blunt town clearing power.

Wam still needs to be murdered.

eidt: Fuck ya, first scumbag down. I don't think i've ever played with somi where he didn't roll scum. If there's a bus, it's probably Wam out of self-preserve especially with trying to swerve onto Seven after Seven did... a Seven thing. Somi's flip doesn't especially endear me to either multiball single mafia with potential indies. But a "Mafia" flip seems to imply, unless we get a "other mafia". But that seems to imply Wam isn't scum cause I don't think he'd observe me if he murdered me. But maybe he was lying about observing?

I need to let things roll around on my head more though.

I'm gonna say, I'm team "just take the 5 days Madge so you can chillax and not feel pressured" and also "more predictable deadline would be appreciated ".

Anyway, I've been trying to heavily BC to Seven some things, and I hope that paranoid voice in my head isn't right and he isnt Indy. But EoD REALLY reads like town seven running away with a wild clear theory.

Basically I BC'd that I wasn't Doc protected (I didn't figure out a good way to imply "unless I was strongmanned) and my concerns about a about the cop being potentially paranoid scumcop (the paranoid more clearly, but I hope she figured the scumcop from context) that may want to clear their mates.

To clarify further, technically I think I'm one shot death proof rather than simply BP and when I die I revive by having my future self come back and tell me how to avoid it. Oh ya and I'm the double voter. Technically if I was given another power I could use it twice, but kind of doubting it will happen.

I'm really second-guessing myself about a lot of things. Sabrar was right that this balance heavily favoured Town, but at the same time, scum had a rough time targeting the bulletproof N1 (in retrospect, I think Sabrar was right - the bulletproof originally had to be activated, I just made it auto-activate if targeted because I didn't think it'd be fun, but instead it meant that you didn't get to make a decision about whether to activate it or not).

I feel especially bad about the publishing cop being the role name rather than a modifier - if I'd had my time again, I would have made the masons' trackers/watchers be "publishing" instead of "loud".

I also think we should have given mafia a power to make things/people silent (maybe put it in the JOATs), we'd originally decided not to do that as you don't want to theme a game around something (loudness) and then have the opportunities to remove it, but this leaves scum very little room to hide (that said, it'd be perfect for my scum play, which I think is also wam's incidentally).

We should probably have gone with one of our very earliest ideas which would have been for scum to pick up some powers for every townie they kill, as a power-up thingy?

The issue was that we had to adjust the setup multiple times during the last few days due to more people signing up, and the timing coincided with me being afk and also getting sick.
We should have maybe delayed the start by like a week but I don't know...

This is gonna get gojoe traffic. Probably. It's definately an audacious play.

My double vote is expiring toNight, moody is the presumptive yeet, I see no movement otherwise so I jumped at the chance to demonstrate my role.

Frankly, double-voting is a barrier to town usually, but it's also a barrier to scum getting endgames.

Plan right now is to attract the NK, make myself look potentially threatening enough that they think mak is right and the self-yeeting was a self-pres play. I'm also trying to obliquly hint that I might be a yeeter targetting somebody in the mafia to make myself seem even more threatening.

And if i fail, I no longer have the double vote (so no longer a barrier to town), I full claim and explain my plan and that is that.

If i'm NK'd I think my reads will be taken more seriously.

Here's hoping moody is scum. Also I'm so mad at not finishing up my explanation for my scumread of Thea. I was trying to talk about how I picked up on that in Halloween last year.

Also, woot moody-scum! That may increase third party suspicions but should at the very least quiet down mafia suspicions. That said if people continue believing scum has good ways to disrupt clears and plans I still think trying to get myself Nk'd is the right call. The paranoia is too high, they'll never believe me in yeet or lose.

Thea and Mak both like him, as I see it. So he's got 3/4 votes friendly to him.

His kill not being loud is going to make him look good today, I think.

That said, keeping Bessie alive and not roleblocking her was too tricky with the loudness, so that's exciting.

Remember Thea and Fred are lovers and so are a 2 for 1 deal.

I was almost going to include the chrono gardeners in the flavour again but I think it's a bit dicey to do that, I haven't mentioned them since D1 and while I would like to instil more paranoia about multiple factions, I think a good part of it is I feel bad for wam being so screwed at this juncture, and I think that's not a good reason to do that.

To clarify, I'm saying that because the story is genuinely really cool! And really glad Madge and Sabrar introduced me to it and I hope others can enjoy it.

Also, Madge wasn't lying, her nails ARE amazing!

I did something different this year with the flavour: I decided not to box myself in by only using the rolenames that players have, but instead just using every possible time travel reference I can think of, which I think helps provide the image of a really, really big blow-out party. There's also the unspoken implication of there being more servants of the Hawk King than the N that are in this game.

Having chatGPT on deck has also been fun because I can ask it for "a golden age sci-fi hero known for being very scientific" or "a character on Star Trek who has dealt with time travel-related illnesses" and get a name and description so I can include them in a little bit of a cameo.

@Players: how is this experience for you? Are you disappointed not seeing your character getting involved in the adventures?

Also, I guess I should probably give a list of the media I consulted for this at the end, like I did last year?

wam absolutely needs Santy to be yeeted to get rid of the Doc, then he can kill Seven with no issues and Town has no abilities left. With a D5 misyeet and the NK it is still possible for him to win N5 due to the presence of Lovers.

I'm confident of my Thea read. I suspect at least one of Thea's Gojoe posts are "this is where town Thea would post in Gojoe". I got pushed off it in AI, but I'm not gonna make the same mistake this Halloween.

Right now I'm leaning towards Thea/Fredd being lovers and Chrono Gardeners aligned and Wam being the last mafia that Thea made the mistake of tying his credibility with his presumed town flip. Maybe he does have a pile of all trades style role with Fredd and using one of those powers is why he thinks Wam is town but Wam has their own defense against that in their JOAT powers.

It makes mechanical sense that Wam is mafia here, because all the people who targeted me D1 have been accounted for so one of them had to be doing two things and trying to narrow down who else targeted me makes more sense than Seven copping me. As best I can tell he was also basically the only other effectively unwatched person n2 though I need to double check.

This is made even stranger by the fact that ninja in this setup really only makes sense as one shot, attached to either a JOAT or Thea/Fredd as a pile of all things Indy lover. Possibly Santy if they get roleblocked. Mak's role is proven, Santy's doc is loud, so if it goes off again it's proven. That leaves Seven, Wam, Fredd/Thea who demonstrated one shot active roles, and I guess me if you think I'm lying, but I've already proven my double vote so the only aspect at doubt is if I had it in the beginning which suggests a different suite of powers.

Again, Seven doesn't make sense as the killer because he copped me. So that leaves wam or Fredd/Thea and again, it would presumably be one shot, that makes Wam the most likely killer.

The other thing is the fact that he's uniquely silent among the three known JOATs. I find this particularly weird because he's claiming Matt Smith's doctor. I could see this maybe being Madge really getting into the flavor if he claimed say Sylvester McCoy who was known for being subtle, but the flamboyance of Matt Smith's doctor is literally a plot point. I wanna know Seven's doctor bad too.

But I mean, off chance I'm reversing this, I don't think any configuration with mak, Seven, or Santy makes sense but I wanna review what Seven said about Santy.

I clearly don't know the historical Doctors well enough to have given wam the appropriate safeclaim, lol. I just went for Matt Smith because those were the three doctors I was choosing between for town.
