So, I have a combination of a weird doublevoter/bulletproof power that I can do by time traveling (it gives me a few days of it). I'm gonna have to think how i handle claiming it, but I'll probably activate it d3 if i'm alive by then. I might just neglect to mention the double voting and just do the BP.

On playerlist:

1. Santygrass reads as confident scum, it's initially a gut read but when I look closer, the interaction with laserguy looks really performative. He directly asks laserguy if he's scum and then accuses him of deflection when laser responds with a movie quote that's contextual purpose is clear. There just doesn't seem to be any purpose to that question in the first place and the continued play treats it as serious, non-rvs.

Edit: Santy laying out the thought process makes it make a bit more sense and the frantic "wait I didn't answer the question" clarification style he laid it out does make it seem more legit. Still, "are you town" is a weird choice to start that line of question since it has such an obvious answer and I think classifying laser's contextually obvious affirmation as a deflection still is nasty but a concentration on play style as being a box makes more sense. I'll back off for now, wanna let this percolate more.

2. Wan's question REALLY pinged my scum senses because it's too early in a game and just seems like asking for a trail to create a mislynch. That phrasing specifically, "a solve" is the key that makes me think this way. I could see it as a semi-joke on bessy legitimately for example, she's famous for talking about d1 solves. Wanna pursue further. I don't think this excludes a wan being on a team with one of them, but both is doubtful now. One as the target, other as distancing.

3. Seven hasn't pinged me at all either way. Hoping for that to change soon. His play seems more restrained then usual at this stage of the game so I'm interested in what she does next.

4. Laserguy is a firm null, it's a very seven like play and he hasn't slipped either way. My prior experience with his scum play is that he's subtly manipulative in order to protect himself so that's what I'm looking out for.

5. Freddino reads townie, my caveat is I'm really not sure what the purple is supposed to mean.

Edit: it's really bugging me cause I wanted to do more with it to draw in Mak when he comes, but I can't if i don't undeestand it. Why the fuck is it purple?

6. Somi has given me nothing that pings me.

7. Leaning on town Bess based on her initial play over madge depriving her of her signature thing.

8. JC has nothing of note.

9. Nothing pings me about moody one way or the other.

The other two haven't posted. Hoping to finally get a townbros game with Mak.

edit: Oh, and I'm subtly referencing the Keshet from Space Opera by Cat Valente, who are a species that constantly time travel and fit perfectly with my powers.

Curious if you read it Madge, specifically because I'm wondering if they were the inspiration. I just read it, otherwise I would've submitted it.

-It’s good to see bessie posting in gojoe, she hasn’t done so much the past few games.

-There’s a bunch of stuff I’ve skimmed over, I’ve been getting dizzy when I try to read.
-Sad that EGW didn’t join the game, but having the worst and Santy makes up for it.

Nope, my inspiration for your role was from the concept of time travel itself.

In terms of flavour, the flavour is a classic Heinlein short story that I recommend everyone read. It hasn't aged terribly well in one notable aspect, but it's an absolute classic sci-fi story so y'know.

It's less funny IMO that Fred isn't being very helpful to Thea, and Thea isn't going to be online for deadline and so won't be able to defend herself. Hopefully Fred will be around and defend Thea.

It would have been HILARIOUS if I hadn't insisted Fred read his role PM, and then he found himself dead at the EOD because Thea got yeeted.

It's always so heartbreaking doing games like this, because you risk your favourite role being yeeted D1 or NKed N1. I gotta say my favourite is the cop, and that player seems to be going OK.

I do enjoy that santy is asking why thea over fred when they're gonna live or die together lol

thank goodness Thea showed up... I was so worried they'd both get killed by the vote, which wouldn't be FUN

also, the plurality voting was meant to make the EOD *not* be a stressful scramble, instead I have to count the votes as the wagons go this way and that woooo

Thoughts for right now is, wam still scum.

Santy, Mak, and Seven all lean town, I haven't seen anything outside of their scum range and I want to put more time to them but gun to my head, this is their town game.

I believe the freddino/Thea masonry. I think it's right that unless they're lovers, Thea is very much a "basics, elevated" type of player and I don't think they'd do this. If they're Indy lovers I think scum will sort them for us anyway.

Kinda wanna murder somi too.

Currently writing this on my way to the hospital cause I wanted to organize my thoughts before I don't know if I'll be able to. Between stressing over the US election and work, and now this I haven't done the rereading I want.

I'm gonna level with you: my first idea out the gate was the variable sanity publishing cop.

Because I thought exactly this situation would happen and it would be hilarious. It did and it is.

Note that what makes it more hilarious is *BOTH* town JOATs targeted Adum with cop, so he was copped 3 times, and all 3 cops know he's town.

It's wonderful watching how the cops react to everything. I think town will avoid the quickhammer which is good.

I can't imagine poor Adumb opening the forum and seeing an inverse cop result staring him in the face, on top of all the votes, ON TOP OF being the NK target last night (and knowing it!)

I'm like 5% worried peope will be on me for having a "variable reliability compulsive publishing cop", as that is the sort of thing that can't be reasonably anticipated (the variable reliability thing), but Sabrar rightly pointed out that all the info is in said cop's PMs (down to which days have which reliability, all the way into the future), so it's not bastard as someone knows about it (and the cop's flip would reveal the variable reliability part, which would allow town to discard the results as unreliable).

Anyway, it's fun.

Fred's play is frustrating but I like it. He's got to be careful because I think he flirts with the rules a bit too much (that's why I pre-emptively told him no quoting role PMs). It's nice to have unpredictable or unconventional players around, and I should know because I'm one of them!

nobody died cause my one shot death proof got used. I may in the future lie and say that I'm just BP and summized because I was near universally seen as obvious town but right now I'm trying to imply I figured it out because I'm not saying I know.

I'll defend the non-bastardry of the role to the end, though. Publishing cop is a real role on the wiki, and everyone knows about variable reliability cops (also in the mafiascum wiki).

I do genuinely feel bad that it had such a negative effect on Adum, though. It's really hard to not post publicaly in thread "GUYS PUBLISHING COP IS A THING"

I am genuinely disappointed that people haven't figured out i'm hinting that I'm BP. I don't want to claim it cause I'm not sure how to hint it without tipping the balance of scum figuring out I used up my BP or making it look like I'm trying for people to read it as perma.

That's why I'm saying things like I'm 99.9% sure and given I have an arrogance meta I'm hoping scum read it as perma.

So if the loud results cop is every night, I think it's a scumcop, period. And pretty sure it's specifically from the Mafia that tried to kill me last night.

I'm trying to broadcast to seven that I think it might being a Mafia insane/paranoid cop because I'm hoping she can use something (maybe Mak's gift?) n3 on the loud cop's target for N2. I'm trying to be circumspect about it to hopefully preserve it for counterclaims later.

That's why I put my actual thoughts about the cop in my examples of what situations mafia might actually have an incentive to cop me I'm hoping Seven got/gets the message or figures it out on her own.

I also think Mak finally got what I did and that's why he isn't going for me anymore.

Edit: Seven's not responding to my post, I HOPE that means "message received" and she doesn't want the cop to realize we're on to them.

For stylistic reasons I think I'll continue to be paranoid of the possibility of Indy-Seven though. I actually think that she's not doing any crazy shenanigans makes me more concerned though she has also done shenanigans as scum.

Additionally all my references to tooting my own horn and arrogance are so the Mafia that kill me can't be sure if I know for sure that I got Nk'd cause my one shot was gone or I was being arrogant.
