Title text: This is the biggest breakthrough since astronomers noticed that the little crosshairs around red giant stars starting to burn helium are all the same size.
So, anyone else think Randall's inspiration for this one just came from looking at a star map at too small of a size?
Now imagining we found those distance labels, but they all wrong… because they weren't distances to us, there was some other star that they were all distances to.
(Now why doesn't our sun have one of those labels that we can see?)
