Yeah for sure, I was thinking about a character limit per post and if you go over it counts as 2 or more posts proportionally. But that's a nightmare to track and onerous on the players. @Seven, can you link me to the game you were referring to where this was tried? We've tried stuff like this before. I think darkest dungeon mafia had a character count I think. People ended up posting weird short hands to save letters.
There has to be some balance of requiring posters to do more work to help keep things easier for readers. I think it's worth experimenting with, but I agree the idea needs more work.

So, I've woken up at 4am brainstorming about how maybe Bop is snowing us all. He's pushed very little himself and has mostly just been super hard vibing. But no, A) he knew the claiming pattern as Santy pointed out and actually mafia wam means either this is a crazy bus or Bop is non-mafia. And more importantly, B) Bop was frustrated by EGW so he must be town.
I still feel Sabrar's tone and play are perfectly inline with what I expect from town!Sabrar and would be very hard to fake as scum!Sabrar. But his actual movements do line up with scum agenda, he pulled back from my wagon when I made it clear I would win the thunderdome, wam sided with me for no super good reason and walked away asap, and Sabrar voted wam at exactly the right "bus a partner" time. It's enough that I need to use an investigative power on him, so I'm traffic analyzing him. I know for sure he's not in moody's neighborhood so that's good.
If Sabrar is town I think Heury must be mafia. He got the claim wrong and I think he's really from Zestria. I wish I'd directed the Game Cop to check him. (Btw, it's obvious that Mak is the Game-cop). Anyway, I think Heury has enough WHIM to have asked the mod something like, "Would you tell a townie that mafia have fakeclaims?" and got no comment and decided to fully go all in in thread that town!Sabrar must have scum slipped. But I won't make this analysis in thread because I think it's bad for the game integrity to analyze a mod mistake. So anyway, discounting that, Heury was trying to push against the wam elim, and a scum team of Heury+wam+??? might be flavor blind and lazy enough that they couldn't figure out the right claim to make. Which is not how I wanted things to go down, I assumed scum had good fake claims that lined up with the pattern. I really am confused about how wam got caught.
But anyway, if Sabrar is town, Heury is scum and I'm night elimed for sure, so no reason to bother investigating Heury. If I live, he's probably town.

Also Malevolence mafia is as public confirmation of multiball as it's gonna get.

That's not a great example of post-limit restrictions though. Hundreds of games have a max post limit (generally which is lifted an hour before end of the day), and I've been in several. There's never an issue with walls of texts.

(one of the rules being you can't use the images to write a post, ransom note style. so a single gif that said "You can call me The Doctor" to claim doc would be one thing, but a post made up of ransom note cutouts is another)
I think it'd be really hard to post but a lot easier to read. MIght be a fun stunt

anyway i was originally going to louden EGW and kill mak (who scumreads me) but he suggested louden heury (who also scumreads me)
i was originally going to louden + Kill heury but i have decided AUDACITY (in memory of wam) and louden heury and kill mak.
i'm going to really struggle to float through the end with just me, and so few abilities, so i just have to rely on a tracker not tracking me a few times. may as well do it while there's a good amount of other, juicier tracker targets. nobody really finds me scummy yet.

This rules! What a fun nightmare. Imagining a role that forces somebody to send their images through a "lower the quality" thing for the day, or like a certain genre of image. Like sorry, you're posting all Sitcom Gifs today! Oops, gotta post 1990s clip art!

I've just had a brilliant idea! A game where the deadline is a certain time, AND a max page count per day, total for everyone posting whichever comes first.
Also, random side idea that might go well together with the above, sudden death twilight. If end of day hits without a majority yet reached everyone can and must make exactly one additional post with no content except a vote.
Heh, I've been musing about ways to keep the post count to some reasonable level. I think with this one there's a chance folks like myself won't get to say anything before the post count is used up

Yeah, I do think maybe there'd have to be some kind of personal post count limitations as well so it's not just "the most active players dominate the conversation, but in shorter games"
For the first time in my life, I actually have a small pool of useful targets for the investigative ability I have:
- ahippo/philip hasn't claimed a game
- madge claimed to be in both games
- Sabrar fought against claiming this stuff
- Heury also didn't claim game (Santy inferred Bersaria based on him saying "Therion" with the claim)
Santy is another odd one out, but that's something EGW (and/or a hypothetical Shepherd cop) can look into.
Of course checking madge would probably be a waste because she claimed a role that makes investigative results unreliable. I still think ahippo is probably town so finding that out isn't urgent. That leaves Sabrar, who claimed second after arguing with BoomFrog about claiming, so I'm not actually sure how much stock to put into that. Which leaves me with Heury, who actually has been fairly suspicious to people a lot more in the loop than I have been. It also helps my guilty conscience about clearing him based on Adum's msitake, on reflection I think BoomFrog is right and I should not have used that.
