Re: Tales of Desolation mafia Day 2
Only a vote away from happening so hype!
i did say at the start of my legacy post that the evidence I have is just too much. Wam claim is clearing for me, and by my own mech, I know Wam claim is not true. Its simple as. Wam is scum
The only scenario where its not clearing for Bop, is Wam clearing Indy. And even in that scenario is not that /clearing/ but Bop is still towny af, with not a single slot sussing them as mafia. They are consensus town , Im also near that (specially in the case that Wam flip mech clears me which I dont think is going to happen but should be a possibility) . Mafia to win has to kill players in the night, and survive the days by getting other players yeeted. you kill in the night taking how the day will play next, you just dont leave the strong town alive in fear of a PoE slot.
Like, if mafia has a Roleblocker all your plan is moot and you are making town waste a lot of resources both saving town!Sabrar , and then with the probable yeet of Town!Sabrar for not being able to provide results.
So like. its simple. Protect the cleared or towniest players. Its the safest and logical move. Trying to make a triple with mech is the real bet.

I think he has side comments like this and I have only ever seen him as town. I think he has good observations as town that you overlook. I also think a person who is less engaged can have a better view of the whole picture. Sometimes my confidence can lead to inaccuracy, but JC without as confident reads may have less attachment to his reads (ego) and probably more accuracy. I have not seen him as scum though.
Re: Tales of Desolation mafia Day 2
I also think his attitude is more townie than scum, why ask questions with snark in a way that can attract attention towards himself.
Re: Tales of Desolation mafia Day 2
you are undervaluing town!sabrar sorry frustrating scums ability to deal with him will put us way ahead but yes I could be wrong and yes my plan can be countered.... ish
again your plan has plenty of merit Im not saying youre wrong but I think mine is a viable alternative and this will also make it harder for scum to outguess

Re: Tales of Desolation mafia Day 2
This is said about me every game, and every game I make it known that my ability to discern AI info isn't that great. I'm asking questions to understand things that i don't, and wrap my head around peoples line of thinking.boomfrog wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 2:50 amI am so confused why you spend so much effort arguing about super minor tangents like this, but almost never point out things that might be alignment indicative. Can you help me understand your approach to the game? Because from my perspective it feels like you are trying to coast by and if you are town you are making yourself a huge liability late game.JC_DADDY25 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 2:36 amI think Moody and who he's talking with having a line of communication to bounce ideas off of helps them solve, which helps us to solve in the long run. Moody is able to give us important information without putting the person getting it in any risk. I don't understand how you don't see that as beneficial to us winning the game.Santygrass wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 2:30 am
Yes . And most relevant point is still the same. It doesnt help us solve
If you consider me a liability, vote me out.
I still win with town either way.
If you don't like the way I play, then I don't know what to tell you... not going to change it to make you feel comfortable.

You are planning assuming Sabrar is confirmed town, which is not.Makhaira wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2025 3:08 am you are undervaluing town!sabrar sorry frustrating scums ability to deal with him will put us way ahead but yes I could be wrong and yes my plan can be countered.... ish

My plan is better in both scenarios. And no, you are giving only one target for protective (Sabrar) , so scum have ways to play around it.
Me saying that the protective should be in the cleared socially players (Bop, me, Frog) makes it hard for scum to actually kill confidently in those players that are the best nks

I mean, its very possible that its just his tone / playstyle.
I do think the fact that they never directed a question at Wam to be a pretty bad look

Re: Tales of Desolation mafia Day 2
The benefit of your plan only comes if Sabrar is town, otherwise its a protective wasted. Cause if they are scum the protective is always better somewhere else, because SAbrar isnt going to die regardless .
And even in town!sabrar scenarios I did say why I thought it was still better to protect in the consensus town for dayplay purposes. You may not agree in this point in specific , but combining the two scenarios my plan is the safest and with the better positives regardless the world we are in I feel like

Re: Tales of Desolation mafia Day 2
Honestly, my only worry with Wam is that he's here to kill his brother. He is an Elimmer with a goal of eliminating you. Having a fake claim is one thing, having it be this detailed is another and it doesn't clear you. You wanting us to focus only on your characters role in one game without considering the other just doesn't sit right.

"You promised to not hurt my brother, you're betraying me and this is just an excuse!" Edna yells when the party confronts her in Pendrago. Her normal emotionless tone is gone, replaced instead by an icy rage.
The party is undeterred, Edna's seemingly shifting allegiances have made them completely lose faith in her, they decided they have no other choice, even while they protest they mean Eizen no harm. And she decides the same.
With a Grim determination, she attacks the party. Not like she's practicing, but with a clear attempt to kill, and utterly a no regard for who might be hurt in the process, whether the party or innocent people nearby.
After a pitched battle, the party manages to subdue her, just barely, and seal her away. She continues raging at the injustice the entire time.
Wam, Edna, alternating even days Town traffic analyst, odd days Independent "Eizen or not" role cop, full time compulsive ninjaing doctor to Eizen was sealed away (eliminated)
With the exhausting battle over, the party surveys the carnage. Who knows how long it will take Pendrago to recover, who knows how many people perished? Looking around they see several people who are obviously dead. And Edna's beautiful umbrella lies snapped in half , sticking out from a pile of rubble.
The crestfallen party starts to turn away from their former comrade.
But then the world seems to shimmer, and and almost crack. Then shatter.
Most of the evidence of dug up earth is gone, some is still there but it's more precise and paired with evidence of quickly melting spears of ice, consuming fire, and wicked wind, all with similar precision. Several people are still dead by one of these methods.
"How could Edna do this? She was an earth Seraph. And even powerful Seraphs who can use multiple elements are only powerful in a few, with the most powerful controlling such a variety!" They also notice the Umbrella is gone.
They spin back to Edna, only, the figure they have sealed is no longer Edna. She's still a childlike Seraph, but her hair is dark and tied with flame like ribbons and her clothing is dark. She holds a wicked looking baton in her hand. She wears a look of defiance, but something in her eyes is now pitiable.
"Symonne", they collectively gasp, "that's the Seraph Dezel was trying to get Revenge on! He said she took some kind of vow to never kill, a in exchange for power!" They demand, "what did you do with Edna, how long have you been with us?"
"For a long time", she says maliciously, "you were so distracted by Dezel's antics, you didn't even notice me! "As for Edna, she continues in a smugly superior tone, "my master already has her, you can't save her or do anything else to stop my master's plan. So why don't you just stop resisting, resisting only brings suffering."
They stop, and consider, then after talking among themselves say, "yes resisting brings suffering, but have you truly felt alive since you stopped resisting? You're just drowning in your pain, but you're not fundamentally evil, the world needs all kinds of people and you can choose who you want to be and seek your own happiness, even if you are an angel of death.
Hearing this her final illusion breaks down and she starts crying. "How can you talk of happiness, when you're depriving me of my one happiness, serving my lord!"
Frustrated, they agree she won't get it, at least today, and they still have a lord of Calamity to defeat. She is nearly powerless and sealed, so they leave her, still desperately crying.
Wam, Symmone, Malevolance Mafia traffic analyist and redirector has been sealed away (eliminated)
It is now nightfall.
The deadline is set for Saturday February 1st at 12 am EST.
Standard rules apply, I'm aiming for a day start post at 2 am, any action after that time is considered late though we MAY be able to sneak you in if no results have been sent out yet.
Note: the “Edna” role PM is just a bit of fun on my part for how I'd implement what was claimed and just creating a theoretical role name was me having fun with Symmone’s flavor because her whole thing is illusions and the flavor was based entirely on his in thread claims combined with elements from Symmone's in game defeat. As such, it does not confirm anything or anyone exists in the game besides the just flipped Wam’s Symmone flavor and her role and alignment. Nor does it confirm I would implement such a role obviously.
Note 2: a redirector and traffic analyst, as a personal night action, can use either the traffic analyst role night action OR the redirector night action.
