I would normally mock Mak mercilessly if he get into a townie death spiral, or at least forced two important town roles to claim, because he made a wrong assumption about an important mechanical question about his role.
But he just had a death in the family and I'll just feel bad if that's what happens now
For reference, roleblockers don't normally affect passive roles, it's generally restricted to active roles with psychics being an occasional exception. Sabrar mentioned this before, correctly here.
There is a generic "unless interfered with", clause, but a roleblock or jail isn't what would interfere with it. Usually it's nothing that can.
But there is one ability that does interfere with it. Madge has indignation as one of her JOAT powers, which's in-game function is a strongman kill that also disables anything that occurs on reaction, including Mak's ability. This is fully intentional btw, it's partially a balancing element on his power because it allows malevolance mafia to just fully remove one person from the game without hunting Sorey out.
Well, I'm mafia. However, we know there are other mafia. Yet, I try my hardest to eliminate scum and the townies run off townies instead. Yes, y'all are correct that I'm only giving town pings because I'm playing exactly like my town game. However, I'm totally ignoring my buddy, and they are read quite town compared to me. You see, if you post scumreads that are universally town read for wack reasons, everyone will sus you. I'm only doing this to shake up the town, and solve because that's what I enjoy to do. I don't like being mafia at all, and you won't find me playing like this as scum in single ball. My confidence is an issue, but at times I'm not even referencing my confidence levels, so I feel like I need more from Sabrar on his issue with me. This goes beyond the game.
As I told Madge, I've been in countless games where I scumread a player with confidence, bravado, and they flip town. Then after the game is finished I re-read it and hate myself for never ever changing my stance. Yolo / Marshy has suggested to me to post much much less and I might have better reads, and it's true. Yet I will say with that, I don't feel engaged and I run the risk of getting elimmed because I get lazy.
Anyway, I'm solving as hard as I can because in the end it doesn't matter which way the wind blows. Whatever yeet happens is good as long as it isn't me or my team mate. Solving will just make me look town and it's what I want to do when I play mafia. Without that aspect I lose all motivation. I'll let y'all guess who my buddy is though whoever reads this.
The funny thing is people will attribute this to me being scum mostly, which is fine. I will admit the constant read changing is subpar for my image. At the very least if I somehow die my abundant interactions will be able to taint others and people won't look into the lack of interaction I'm having with my team mate. If they let Hippo get away with scumclaiming then I think I can get away with this. In the future I really need to try the low posting playstyle. Constantly reading and giving thought into my reads, but not engaging so things can happen naturally.
This utter lack of cohesion against all fucking odds................the guy whose role justifies reads like this won't listen to them......from people he had mod confirmation aren't what he's hunting...............I do think this actually helps but lmao. lol. laugh. all those.

I knew going in the page counts here were intense but I was not ready. I've had four day games that ended by like, 34.
I've just had a brilliant idea! A game where the deadline is a certain time, AND a max page count per day, total for everyone posting whichever comes first.
Also, random side idea that might go well together with the above, sudden death twilight. If end of day hits without a majority yet reached everyone can and must make exactly one additional post with no content except a vote.

After role PM flavor about him being from the distant past.
Also, check the damn wiki please. I mean, unless this is a Gambit, not sure what the reason is but sure.

I didn't have any mechanical ideas, but that is interesting. I was gonna ask when this game was done if we had interest in possible "slow games" with some kind of posting restriction lol. But obviously I know it's just different styles and don't want to like single players out!
Agree that yeah it'd need a protection like the twilight to avoid really weird posting strats.
