And have you given significant thought to what my role is?

No, why would I? There.have been lots of hints around the nk but not enough for me to speculate.

Loooool
It refers to "the energy, style, or flair that makes something dazzling or exciting".
Madge usually uses it in reference to when she uses crazy concepts in mafia, hoping she can make them work. She often complains about Sabra harshing her vibes in the same of balance.

That's why they make a great team. As.someone who always struggle with flavour in games I run I'm jealous of madges skills there!AdumbroDeus wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 4:06 pmLoooool

Catchup
Do keep in mind that this is a fringe theory rattling in my mind that I myself mostly disregarded in the same post, but yeah, Adum will in all likelyhood be night killed sometime before the game is over, at which point this gambit could pay off big time.bessie wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 11:30 pm Interesting! You suspect scum!Seven derail an almost guaranteed yeet of the strongest and towniest player in the game just for town cred! Even though if Adum is not eliminated, Adum’s alignment is not confirmed so the town cred Seven is trying for may or may not happen! I think your reasoning is scummy
Can you elaborate on this theory about only two people targeting Adum, because I don't see how that would work. Also, spilled milk but if you suspect someone of being a doctor it's generally a good idea to keep that to yourself.Freddino18 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 1:56 am To be frank, I think Adum is a Doctor, and only got targeted by two people. I feel like there's one Mafia between Bessie, Seven, and Wam, and I think that leaving Seven and Bessie in provides the most readable content in the case that I'm wrong on Wam. Mak is a weird slot for me, but I'm inclined to lean town. I'm always wrong about JC, so I hesitate to put him to either side. I do believe that you have a kill, Santy, but your openness reads as either bait as non-vig town or a genuine claim. My thoughts on the rest are jumbled, but I'm inclined to trust Thea on the others.
Or at least that everyone visiting Adum was the cop ore one of the several Jacks of all trade we apparently have.
Re: Halloween 2024: The Time Travellers' Party [D2]
I think i know where your going.
Having re read. My guess is your bulletproof
So that means
1) The NK hit someone else and we have another protective role out there.
2) The NK hit you and you were protected by the other JOAT and shot by either the publishing cop, seven or mafia have a ninja ability. I'm discounting scum doctoring you and shooting you.
3) The NK hit you and your bullet proof saved you which means one of the joats shot you or the cop.or there is a ninja.
Ps I checked previously and if the nk and a power was targeted at you by the same player the rolename only shows up once.

Some variation thereof. There are details I will not confirm. At least not yet.Wam wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 4:37 pm I think i know where your going.

Fyi my working assumption was joat 2 (not seven) doctored and mafia.have a ninja. Hence not worrying about your role too much.

Re: Halloween 2024: The Time Travellers' Party [D2]
I think Wam legitimately just figured this out. Which suggests he's not aligned with the killer/isn't the killer.
However, I don't think it makes sense for town-Wam to not put basically any consideration or seem to even react to the details of his claim seeming to not match up with what he learned from his role, especially since I already discounted lightning rod and said I didn't have any role knowledge about misdirection, so not a psychic or the like. Even with that strong a day play based townread.
I think the best explanation is otherscum wam, whether Indy or in multiball, the team that I don't think tried to kill me.
I think either you should've figured that out or it should've pinged your scum sensors. Or at the very least if you had that strong of a dayplay townread on me, you should've spent significant effort before trying to figure it out so you could at least know what I know without making it public.

I think you predicted my thought process, but I also don't think that really that explains why I was convinced I was the target given I previously claimed lack of role knowledge on misdirection implying I'm not a psychic or the like and not having a lightning rod effect.

Re: Halloween 2024: The Time Travellers' Party [D2]
Ok so wam is claiming this then? https://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Observer
But hes calling it a watcher? Is the role name actually watcher in your role PM?
And for adum to be town, that 2nd unclaimed and unaccounted for JOAT must be a scum JOAT that framed/tailored either adum or the publishing cop such that the publishing cop's result would present as non-town?
And now adum is suggesting he is BP on some level? And that he has other shit going on with his role too?
Adum now feels increasingly more like a godfather, or some kind of 1 shot BP indy that is supposed to be cop immune or come up town to investigatives, hence his "this is bastard" meltdown
@Wam is you ability one shot? Or limited as even/odd night?

Re: Halloween 2024: The Time Travellers' Party [D2]
Was role is def consistent with a scum power tho, voyeur is excellent info gatherer for scum
Re: Halloween 2024: The Time Travellers' Party [D2]
Not voyeur I mean observer, I guess voyeur has been phased out of use, it's now tracker/follower and watcher/ observer for the generates player results vs. generates abilities used results pairings
Re: Halloween 2024: The Time Travellers' Party [D2]
Oh wait ok wam is claiming to be the 3rd JOAT, presumably this observer ability is one shot? So the JOATs are seven, Wam and an unclaimed third?
Re: Halloween 2024: The Time Travellers' Party [D2]
@mak I'm a joat
It was one of my powers called "role watcher"
It's different to the linked one. That one suggests if a JOAT uses say a cop power I would get player A was investigated. But I just get Player x was visited by..

I know Seven said this before, but it's silly. That's not a moderator lie that can't be reasonably anticipated which is what bastard is defined as, that's the moderator not lying when I think they should. Which means that as a godfather I'd probably assume an insane cop because the mod is already lying. I also doubt I'd consider "this is just a message posing as mod confirmed truth".Makhaira wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 5:08 pm Ok so wam is claiming this then? https://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Observer

"Variation" refers to the role itself, there's standard, one shot, and a host of other potential modifiers. I am not claiming additional shit.
As a player focused on play, ask yourself, why would I play around it this way if I did? Why would my "this is bastard breakdown" include that I played my role perfectly? Attracting the NK doesn't advantage me as scum, especially as a one shot BP indy. Keep in mind, I had a replacement request at the time.

Please lets not use the replacement request reads-wise , I think persnally it goes against the game integrity

Anyways while Im at it, I may be weong but Adum pls stop giving hints about what you are. I think its perfectly reasonable to 'figure it out' being uninformed and informed with all the info that is being talked aboit in thread

Some forums agree with you, I don't think that's true here.Santygrass wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 5:46 pm Please lets not use the replacement request reads-wise , I think persnally it goes against the game integrity
Madge, Bessie, and Somi actually asked around this in the scum chat of dancers before you replaced in. It would be different if it wasn't a serious request, (though something a mod I don't think can do anything about til postgame unless admitted and poses the risk that they'll get replaced before the Gambit was done), but I was absolutely serious at that point. They even asked about Somi claiming to have asked for a replacement but not doing it.
Given Madge is modding right now, I can't imagine her having problems with making arguments based on this given that conversation.
It's not just informed/uninformed, though it's relevant to that case.Santygrass wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 5:47 pm Anyways while Im at it, I may be weong but Adum pls stop giving hints about what you are. I think scum (at least one team, if not more) would've already figured it out at the beginning of the day. I think they absolutely would've figured it out when Wam claimed, so hiding the base role didn't really help.
I also think given last Halloween (and to a lesser extent how mistaking the vig shot for the scum shot helped doom town in pyp) the fact that I'm 99% positive somebody attempted to NK me last night was important.
There's another reason but I'm saving that for later.

Re: Halloween 2024: The Time Travellers' Party [D2]
I dont care if some forums agree or not, or if it was serious or not. Its not a conversation I want to happen in this game .
I do think that replacement requests and all that talk should be always done in private. That was not the case here but dont want to make the issue bigger with using it to discuss reads lol.
Because you are basically allowing it to use it as a strat to get townread, and is something super bad to encourage or let happen. I personally dont care if it was stated in the rules before or not, I am voicing to be super against that and dont want to see that happening here. So please lets just not?

If someone wants to use the request as a basis on a townread is up to that person, so you don't have to do that if you don't want Santy. Telling others not to include it doesn't really make sense to be honest.
