I can see it if they're some kind of indie survivor lovers.

I think scum!bessie would feel confident pocketing thea and also reasonnly believe it is a serious boon to her survival chances to have thea so pocketed, fwiw especially relative to other slots available in this game to try to pocket. Also thea with the self imposed restriction is going to be slightly easier to ingratiate because you can often defend them better than they can defend themselves

For the same reason you want a town Thea in endgame, he's risky to directly pocket.

Plus, defending this hard on a slot that literally won't make complex thoughts by choice risks accusations of having privileged info.

Why would roles be indicative of alignment? Also I guess it is subtle because I don't actually know what your role is, only the modifier.
