(Actually, there was some mix-up in aeons past; my song in that round was "Round Goes the Gossip" by Focus, but somehow the submissions got muddled. I don't know who had "Teo Torriatte" originally.)

But congrats to the rat in any case! Lotta good choices this round :)

Oh damn, it was me back then too! I wasn't paying enough attention when going back through the thread to realise that "my" entry from that round was clearly not mine...

Well, if I am still the winner despite everything, the next round will be historical events. Any song on the subject of any historical event(s), by 16th September!

I don't believe I've seen an eight-point lead since nineteen-ought-seven

What the actual...!!!???
Inconceivable!

Glad you liked the pick. The Gordon Lightfoot original is also really good.

It's Sunday night here and I'm wiped out. Next theme will be incoming in 24~36 hours.

Dunno about every entry, I ended up giving Shiroyama zero points

So I've gone back over the thread, and I can't believe we haven't had a round for drinking songs yet!. So let's rectify that.
Songs to sing while drinking, songs about getting drunk, about making or consuming alcohol in general.

Deadline will be 2024-10-7 22:00 JST (which is 13:00 UTC)

As an aside, is there agreement as to what happens in the unlikely event two competitors send in the same song?

I dunno that we've ever established a rule for that (which probably says something about how often it comes up.) Seems like first-dibs would be a logical tack to take, but it's probably between the members and whoever's running the round...?

Just over 24 hours to go and I have one entry (other than my own).
Do I need to extend the deadline to give you some more time?

I'd suggest extending by a week. It's what we've done in the past.

I now have two entries (Not yours, Fred), which is still not really enough for a competition.

Deadline is in ten minutes, but I’m out of the country and on an aeroplane all tomorrow, so you can have an additional 24 hours until I get back to my home PC.
