Are we human or are we dancer mafia (game over, Dancers win!)

I am curious what directions both of you take.

This isn't consistent with what I know of scum!EGW. I don't really understand what you're trying to say about me here.heuristically_alone wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 1:27 am EGW vs Thea
Some real good popcorn content. I only recall seeing one game with scum EGW and that entire game there was a tangible plan with goals, tunnelling in on his choice mislynches.Thea on the other has some plan involving intertwining potential scum candidates and I'm incredibly wary of anyone trying to force a plan on anyhow as opposed to each player making their own decisions.

I agree with the bolded and am somewhat surprised that you rate him this highly given that. Does it change your opinion that Gluelock hadn't posted at all between when he said he wouldn't vote for him and when he actually did?

My quick PoE without you puts me in a world with something like {heury, somi, moody} or {heury, somi, JC}. Possibly something that includes Seven could be on the table but that will take a little more time for me to think about.

Yeah, you were on track with the usual suspects. We basically just need to blitz through the low posters to get anywhere, which is why I am ready to end the day.Theallieza wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 5:55 pmMy quick PoE without you puts me in a world with something like {heury, somi, moody} or {heury, somi, JC}. Seven who would you replace with my slot and why?

My apologies George, but I don’t intend on answering any of the questions you’ve so far put forth this phase. Also, it is clear that we’ve reached the point in the game where you have a read reversal on me, is that so?

Re: Are we human or are we dancer mafia (day 2)
It looks like the person that most people would be willing to elim right now would be heury, either for scumminess; or for low post count/lurking (and claiming the opposite). If anyone has a case for someone who would be a better fit, let me know.

Re: Are we human or are we dancer mafia (day 2)
The reasoning behind this, for the record, is that your questions are structured with the intent of finding my "mafia partners" rather than with the intent of grasping my alignment or utilizing town!me's input. Hence, they are a waste of both my time and yours. I am happy to answer questions that don't center around this motive.
That being said, I know you need to get a Zen theory out of your system. You and Alli wish for there to be a grand solve this game, but unfortunately, we are not in that universe, and the game is rather straightforward. All of the power wolfers (except for perhaps Wam) are town this game, so it's just a matter of eliminating the less active players.
Also for the record, George, I was aware that you were tree stumper as of the time of this post:
And never believed you to be mafia. Note that around this point is when I began to "shade" you. I was attempting to keep you in the PoE in order to prevent you from being night-killed, hence facetious lines such as "Mmhmm."

I don't think of +0.5 as high exactly, since if I'm remembering right I have a couple of players at least +1. Based on the point you're making about how quickly somi switched on Glue, a more cynical read would put him -0.5.Theallieza wrote:I agree with the bolded and am somewhat surprised that you rate him this highly given that. Re: Are we human or are we dancer mafia (day 2)
@Seven: I'm going to re-read. I don't think the game is that straightforward. If you think it's as straightforward as Heury and Moody, then I disagree. Also tell me why Thea pushes me like this. Then, go over you read on Somi at this juncture. I also want you to discuss why you think the Mak kill happened. Personally not fond of the fake shading because I'd rather work with Town!Seven and find mafia together, although I'm not sure what your gameplan is. Also most of these questions were not coming from a *find your mafia partner* angle, I only recently started doubting you. It was mostly due to you not giving me anything on Somi when I gave you two reads you asked for.

I feel Gluelock and Fred may be connected. There was just something odd about the way he asked for the mod to prod Glue even though I and Huery hadn't posted either. Like i mentioned before, felt like it was intentional to distance himself and gave me scum vibes.
Right now, I'm getting town vibes from Bessie, EGW, and Mak.
Re: Are we human or are we dancer mafia (day 2)
I think Somi is the most likely out of all of those. Also I'm glad you brought up the point Moody made on Somi, that was actually a good one. I don't think any of the others are scum. I've come to the realization that, I don't think you are scum. Part of my doubt of you was me wondering why you'd push me so far, I thought you'd read me better. I'd like you to think over Somi's content this phase so far.Theallieza wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 5:55 pmMy quick PoE without you puts me in a world with something like {heury, somi, moody} or {heury, somi, JC}. Er, because I thought you were scum, I was excited that I had the solve, and I wanted to yeet you. And that against a strong player I expect to need an overwhelming case against them, and wanted to leave Town with a good paper trail for when I was invariably ignored that they could build off of.EGW wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2024 12:08 am @Seven: I'm going to re-read. Re: Are we human or are we dancer mafia (day 2)
That's because I thought Glue would flip scum, genuinely. I was wrong just as Thea and yourself were wrong on me. Also I don't think Heury flips scum here. I told Seven this, but I pushed Town!Heury off a cliff for the exact kind of play. I think as scum he's more forceful, or opportunistic. I buddied with Seven because I townread him strongly. I consider buddying a strong tool for town. (Basically town working with town to find mafia)Freddino18 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 2:59 amrefusing to swap from Glue in order to force townies to swap to guarantee an elimination.
Re: Are we human or are we dancer mafia (day 2)
You keep saying moody, but moody is a null, not in the sense of not having anything to go off of, but in the sense that he has both + and - points. Currently, I think the + points are stronger, particularly based on his play at the end of the day. It is straightforward: Mak is town, bessie is town, Madge is town, you're town, Alli is town. I don't know why you're insistent on there being chemicals in the water to turn the frogs gay.EGW wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2024 12:08 am @Seven: I'm going to re-read. Somi is wolfy and next on the elim list after Heury. Heury is wolfy and the fact that you don't see it is puzzling. It is also suitable to reveal his alignment to put together the vote movements around the end-of-day wagons. We do not yet know if they were TvT or TvW. JC is null and has an increased chance of being wolf as the PoE narrows. Wam is the direction town should go if all three wolves aren't in that group. Moody would be next on my list.
I am not proposing that we simply eliminate these players in sequence. The voting patterns, history, and reads need to be reviewed to gather reads on each player as we obtain flips. There is no information that can be used to solve at the moment because wolves are all in the null territory. Flipping is the only way to progress the game, and that is why I find using all of the daytime, doing a bunch of rereads and theory-proposing, to be a rather silly approach.
Mak was probably killed because he was town read and vocal about eliminating Heury/low posters. I believe it is unlikely that wolf!Alli would put herself out there by making an EGW/Seven/somi case. You have a bad habit of scum-reading those who push you.

Not likely at all since EGW is likely town. I do see the point you're making and I think it is well within seven's meta/capability to pull off gambit like this with EGW. However, independently EGW is not being scum EGW goal oriented enough to be scum this game.
Seven also is more quiet this game than the town games I've played with him. Not saying that means anything, just an observation
