I agree. Compare this to when he was scum and was passive. Here he clearly took initiative.

Already posting too many words. Biggest offender is EGW, and he was mean to me.
Vote: EGW so I don't have to read so much.

Daily bark.
I missed you more than some others because you didn’t play in the previous game.
I miss BoomFrog the most because Is BoomFrog.
Confirmation post initial analysis. Everyone’s confirmation post is acceptable. No confirmation posts contain game content including but not limited to RVS votes, buddying, and rhetorical questions to establish early towniness. No posts contain deliberate or accidental slips.
Confirmation post deeper analysis.
somitomi – Acceptable format. If I had to make a woof-grr list based on only confirmation posts, I might give him the slightest town lean because he wasn’t worried about conforming. But this isn’t enough to move him to an early town lean.
Madge - There is no alignment-indicative information that can be deduced from Madge’s confirmation post. Madge probably doesn’t even remember my absurd fondness for analyzing confirmation posts. And even if she does, she almost certainly wouldn’t let it stop her from posting exactly what was in her mind at that moment. Madge does enjoy playing scum more than town, but I think the excitement can also be from just playing after a break and getting to interact with everyone (read: getting to talk about herself to an audience). So I currently consider Madge’s confirmation post to be neutral.
Gluelock, JC, Fred – Neutral for now. I don’t think these players have played enough with me to deliberately alter their confirmation posts. Note: they could have been advised to confirm in a certain way by a partner in chat.
Heury, moody, EGW, Makhaira, Wam – Suspicious. They know me well and may have confirmed as they did not to draw my attention. Note: I’m pretty sure Wam has said before that he’s posted a neutral confirmation post not to draw my attention, but I can’t remember the game. It was on xkcd.
Theallieza – For other players, the single exclamation post would not be enough for me to move them from their default “suspicious” or “neutral” category (default determined by factors discussed above). For Theallieza, I get the feeling that the exclamation post is purposely teasing me. A very subtle poke but a poke nonetheless. And I don’t think they would do this as non-town. Note that this analysis is specifically for Theallieza and there is no other player in this game to which this would be applicable. Wait. No... there is another.
Seven – Suspicious Grr. See Theallieza.
I was completely serious. See above.
Back later. I will be available this weekend and Monday. It is a holiday weekend in the United States.
I miss playing with everyone in down times now that we don’t always have a game going.
I missed you more than some others because you didn’t play in the previous game.

Not this. Try again.
Yes this is it!

Re: Are we human or are we dancer mafia (day 1)
I dont think I've ever seen EGW make a post like this, wild
what specifically do you recall was claimed in that discussion that made EGW's townplay so distinguishable?moody7277 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 11:32 amI do recall discussion about the polarization of his play, mostly thinking that it sounded really bad to have town play so distinguishable from scum play.
bessie's response to theallizea's confirm post is funny considering the mostly non-serious stance that exclamation point=scum in those.
In what specific way is seven being "cool calm and collective [sic]" (I'm assuming you meant collected?)
is the bolded a joke? tone over internet is hard
how is scum!somi trying to come off here that makes you think its scum motivated?Theallieza wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 8:01 pmSeven is scumreading EGW; EGW is not scumreading Seven.
This post gives me a weird vibe. I think I'd put a slight scumlean on somi.
but why
how would you describe sevens play in Baldurs Gate Mafia?

atleast freddy posted tho. No wam, gluelock or jc is lame af
Re: Are we human or are we dancer mafia (day 1)
no heury either jeepers
atleast this game is long deadlines. Also we should be aware it is majority elim rules not plurality (adum is unironically unfathomably based for this)
that means if you don't want to grief town you need to be voting early and often friends =)

I also just realized I wasnt included on theas scumber line and dont feel included sadge =(
Re: Are we human or are we dancer mafia (day 1)
Mak: Seven didn't play proactively there. He didn't have a push, he wasn't scumhunting. His vote on you was simply because he didn't have enough on Bessie when I stated that she was town. I was waiting for you to town up that game so we could push seven but the longer the day went I doubted you more. Here, Seven immediately pushes me, and his post shows a certain bravado I don't see from him in his scum games.
Re: Are we human or are we dancer mafia (day 1)
Bessie: I always confirm in the same way every game. Thoughts on that?

Chuckle-worthy, as in "X is totally scum because they used an exclamation point. " Even though I've seen it used several times, I remain dubious about the confirmation post analysis (most likely because I am not able to use the trick myself), but I'm not going to denigrate anyone who tries the method. I will note that this does make a tie between you and Thea.bessie wrote:Please clarify. Do you mean funny peculiar, or funny haha?

Found this right away from Baldur's Gate from Seven's own keyboard about their opinion on EGW's polarization:Makhaira wrote:what specifically do you recall was claimed in that discussion that made EGW's townplay so distinguishable?
Bold mine. Exactly what the qualities are that distinguish town!EGW from scum!EGW in Seven's eyes is something you would need to discuss with them.Seven wrote:btw @Somi, the thing about Major League Baseball players is that they are MLachable precisely because of the lack of polarization between their scum and town play. Players like Ran are highly polarized: the discrepancy between his town and scum play is super obvious. In contrast, with Heury for example, his posts are blanketed in obscurity.
Got another chuckle from Fred's latest. RVS is RVS, and I'm getting a good town read on him now.

Re: Are we human or are we dancer mafia (day 1)
Performative? The vibe I get is kind of "Look, I'm active and engaged" without actually saying anything.
My logic is essentially this:but why
-Seven claims he can read EGW extremely well.
-Seven knows that Town!EGW is almost impossible to misyeet because he's very strong and it is very obvious when he is Town.
If Seven is scum and EGW is Town, then attacking EGW is unlikely to be productive: EGW is never getting yeeted, and Seven puts a spotlight on himself because Town!EGW is likely to defend himself vigorously. Scum Seven would probably prefer to buddy EGW and redirect his attention elsewhere.
If both are scum together, Seven dislikes bussing and generally avoids attacking his buddies. He'd probably say EGW is Town.
I think Seven most likely attacks EGW if and only if Seven is Town and sincerely believes EGW is scum. The edge case is if Seven is scum and believes EGW is 3rd party.
Re: Are we human or are we dancer mafia (day 1)
Random Vote Stage. Some people like it, some don't do it.

Re: Are we human or are we dancer mafia (day 1)
He is thinking of me as my alt.
My feeling is that this is the type of error more likely to come from a townie more concerned about keeping meta straight than caring about being precise.
Re: Are we human or are we dancer mafia (day 1)
Apparently Moody is polarized as well. It is not something I’ve ever noticed before.
He is the second dancer.
My inference primarily stems from this line:
Put simply, the view is inauthentic; underlying nervousness regarding its inauthenticity led to structural anomalies indicative of a dancer.

My inference primarily stems from this line:
Without going into detail, the grammatical and stylistic structure of this sentence suggests deviation from the reverse Voight-Kampff test used to verify the emotional suppression of us humans.I will note that this does make a tie between you and Thea.

There is a greater than random chance that Fred is the third due to moody’s defense here.
Quite the interesting scum team. Shall we move to eliminate?

I feel like not enough people are on theme, there was a lot more roleplay in the AI Mafia game. Beside that, there's mostly the normal day-1 posing and trash reads (trash as in meant to be throwaway/revised later in the game).

Re: Are we human or are we dancer mafia (day 1)
Sorry, had a birthday party for my grandson and work yesterday so I didn't have time to post. On break at work right now so just read real quick to catch up. I'll read more later, but not seeing anything to react to right now. I'll let things play out more to see where they go.
