I'll start us off
- Go to Wikipedia and click the “random article” link. The title of the article is the name of your band.
- Go to "wikiquote" and click the “random page” link. A snippet from the very last quote on the page is the title of your album. You have some creative freedom here to make it fit together.
- Click on this secret "Explore last 7 days" link, because you can't find it on the flickr home page. Third picture on the page is the basis for your album cover.
- Use an image manipulation method of your choice to put it all together and post the result along with the source material in this thread.
Album Cover Game
Album Cover Game
I'm gonna revive another one, because I think I managed to reconstruct the rules of the variant I so fondly remember. The goal here is to create a convincing album cover from random elements. What makes this fun is how simple it can be, album covers are a truly free form of expression with the only limitation being the traditional square shape.

Does a made-up Wikipedia article from an xkcd count as a random article? Yes, yes it does

Re: Album Cover Game
I love how you ended up with a bird in there but not the right one for the band.
Anyway, it's been... over a year since I last did one?? OK, time to get one done! Cheating a bit though because I really didn't like the first selection it gave me. I think this turned out possibly a bit sacrilegious.

Re: Album Cover Game
Yeah, that amused me as well.
Maybe? I kinda like the effect though, it's nice when the album title can resonate with the art.Anyway, it's been... over a year since I last did one?? OK, time to get one done! Re: Album Cover Game
I would love to know the real life series of events that would lead a British-themed album cover to have those bits of Polish text on it.
Re: Album Cover Game
The real life series of events was that the best image of a railway station split-flap display I could find was from Poland. Maybe you know the secret trademark that'd find me some English ones?
