I wanted to see how somi responded to the SHROOP take before an updated read list but I'm not patient enough.

Because of the unfortunate connotations this community tried to move away from using 'lynch' as the base-word for elimination. Please use 'yeet', 'elim' or any similar alternatives instead.
Apologies for not mentioning this sooner.

I've noted one or two examples previously. tl;dr you two are both reading each other very weirdly. If nothing else, the fact that you plunked heury at the top of your Town reads for very spurious reasons is the way that you traditionally note a mason buddy or someone that you have alignment info on.
So either I was hallucinating at some point or I will be grumping about this in GoJoe later, but I am fairly certain that at some point (possibly in the OP?) that Zeniba had specifically flipped mafia. I checked with Madge if she edited this out of the OP and she said no comment so I'm just gonna have to kind of shrug at this one.LaserGuy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2023 4:47 pm Sorry that’s a typo. Zeniba flipped scum, not mafia. I know that I am always careful to distinguish when I mean mafia or indie, or I sometimes use scum interchangeably with non-town to refer to any non-town alignment. But not everyone else does. I’m saying my reading of the flip was that Zeniba was non-town.
Interesting how you didn’t catch my typo, and also how you mistakenly believed Zeniba flipped mafia. It’s as if you didn’t even read the flip. I wonder why you wouldn’t hmmmm...
Re: HaiLOWEEN 2023: AI apocalypse
So you just have no idea about anything about my playstyle, is what I'm reading here? Or you actually know this is wrong and are pushing me in bad faith?
Yes, that's something I do every game. Not moody and Heury specifically, but I usually try to read a handful of people very early in the game as part of my sort. Those reads actually tend to be the most accurate reads I have all game.
Here's a grab bag of examples. I'm sure I could find a dozen more if I wanted to.
Page 1 townread of Boom and moody in Hallowe'en 2021. I was Town
Page 2 townread of heury in Strange Things. I'm SK
Page 3 townreads of Dark Horse, and somitomi. I was Town.
Page 1 townread of Raxxal, scumread of NSG. I was mafia (with Raxxal).
Page 1 townread of Darkpit. This is also the game where I caught bessie as scum off of a single post. I was Town.
Notably, I did this a lot in Sumting Sumting Mafia: Page 2 townreads on Malakandra (and 3DS but I withdrew it). Another of Xivii. I was Town. Curious. You were in this game and have referenced it several times, and you were Town. From a quick look, did not seem to find this behaviour notable at the time.
You have been repeatedly trying to meta read me based on wrong information and behaviour that is basically NAI for me. You can't find anything to push me for in this game, so you try to push me based on things from other games, but your baseline is completely and demonstrably faulty.
Re: HaiLOWEEN 2023: AI apocalypse
I feel like I've discussed this to death and there's nothing more to say here. tl;dr my read does not change here on whether or not Mak was joking.Seven wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 12:38 am Laser has had terrible reasons for concluding Mak and Trisscar to be town. Mak because "he misread the town flavor as indy" and Trisscar because "Fred replaced out". The first is a super stretch and while I initially thought that Adum and Laser were talking past each other in their back and forth on it, I think I actually just put words in Laser's mouth that he was able to use as a get out of jail free card. The reasoning is actually a gigantic stretch and he probably didn't actually mean that he understood Frozen's post as a joke.
I've only played 1 game with Fred I think, and I'm pretty sure he was Town. This is more of a general behaviour that I've observed in replacements, though admittedly, it was wrong in this case. I don't think I read much passed D1 in Millerizer and don't really remember anything about games that I didn't play in.With regard to the Trisscar reasoning, I mentioned yesterday that I disagreed and that Fred was likely to sub out as a wolf. Fred had a hard time wolfing in millirizer mafia. Didn't enjoy it as much as town so he had a good chance of being a RWSTFO. I don't think anyone who read Millerizer should have thought his sub out increased his odds of being town. This is a negative point for heury too.
I'm curious what you think my reasoning would have been for so readily joining the Trisscar wagon rather than doing just about anything else in that situation though.

I went back and read everything involving Seven's post about getting the message you were human, because Adum prompted me to read what Seven said after that as if i missed something. Only thing i seemed to have missed is Adum giving Seven an out for that claim, that she got no message and was going off a BC from Adum's post. I believe Adum prompted Seven twice on that subject, so I guess I did miss something and I'm not sure how i feel about that interaction..
That said, I suggest you reread the interaction a few more times and reread the earlier posts between seven and me a few times, because I didn't give him an out and even when reading back, what he misunderstood is perfectly understandable in context.

The reasoning is a gigantic stretch though. It's at most 50/50 on whether or not someone would more likely to make the joke if they were town. There's no cognitive-behavioral justification for the idea.LaserGuy wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 8:24 amI feel like I've discussed this to death and there's nothing more to say here. tl;dr my read does not change here on whether or not Mak was joking.Seven wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 12:38 am Laser has had terrible reasons for concluding Mak and Trisscar to be town. Ok if you didn't read Fred's posts in millerizer that's fair. Re: HaiLOWEEN 2023: AI apocalypse
Yeah, I don't tend to form a consistent worldview early in the game, pretty sure I've talked about this before. Admittedly I usually get out of that phase by this point, but I haven't been doing too great at self-maintenance lately.
Dingdingdingding, I am in fact the kind of person who sometimes edits the wording of completely inconsequential Discord messages. That tendency is also why my post count is low (for example I've already lost track of how many times I reworded these two sentences).AdumbroDeus wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 12:40 am SHROOP? That genuinely seems like the stupidest tell I've ever seen. Everyone should be revising posts constantly because they're double checking their information and making sure their thought process holds up. Hell I revised this post to put SHROOP in with a question mark ahead of it because I wanted to make sure it was obvious I was tackling two different subjects.
With people who rarely scrutinize their thought process as town and always post off the cuff, maybe. But Somi doesn't strike me that way.
I'm not entirely sure why someone would decide to do that, but once they do, it's just a matter of having a subroutine count instances of the character string "vibe" and "vibes" in a particular subset ot posts.heuristically_alone wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 4:38 am Who counts the number of vibes someone used in a game? I'm not referencing meta. Your reads are premature, just as I said. Especially on Moody here, there is no good reason to be town reading him at this point. What I have noticed is lacking from your town meta is your conviction, which is memorable.

Re: HaiLOWEEN 2023: AI apocalypse
Catch up bark! I was still thinking about the game last night and wasn’t ready to post when I got home. I was going to post after dinner, but I fell asleep early.
Thinking about this and I don’t agree. Are you referring to this post? He had enough reason to vote for you but sat it out and let Zeniba be eliminated.Seven wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 12:38 am Mak is scum. I think y'all are forcing the town read on him hard. The way he treated Zeniba is omega suss and it was clear that he was trying real hard at the end of the day to get someone to give him a reason to vote me, but no one could give him anything so he just sat out.
So you are confirming that your read of heury and I as masons is based on things Seven has been pushing in the thread. Noted.somitomi wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 10:51 pmOooh, extra special homework just for me, me, me!
Perhaps the word "obvious" was a stretch, it only clicked today when Seven mentioned that you two look like masons, but it's just an amalgamation of little things: you were both townreading each other on D1 a bit oddly (Heury gave a townread pretty early whereas you put him on the woofmost place with a rather nulltown reasoning), Heury came to your defense pretty strongly when he though LG was scumreading you and he also followed you onto the Seven wagon without ever expressing much suspicion about him before that.
I don't yet know how to interpret this all, but I do think something is going on between you two.
He’s trying to create confusion.
Noting this for now, because it is another example of you pushing your (mis)interpretations as fact.
I agree with this read.JC_DADDY25 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 12:32 am Seven - Aside from trying to get me lynched last day phase, I feel like Seven has been jumping around throwing shit against the wall seeing what sticks. That's not necessarily wolfie, but add in the link to a previous specific game to show how they feel about a subject they're being accused of seems preplanned and easily faked, so this feels like the right spot.
I am on a computer with a word document where I keep running notes. I think Mak is on a phone. There’s a difference in the way this formats on each one.
I do but you give me a scummier vibe.
I like this more than I like somitomi’s response to a similar question.LaserGuy wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 7:48 am I've noted one or two examples previously. tl;dr you two are both reading each other very weirdly.
