JC, what is your impression of Gluelock? Can you tell me how he plays as scum, and as town?

I've only played one game with Gluelock, and while he was town i felt like he was wolfy almost the entire game. He said stuff at times that just made me feel that he could not be town sided, and at others he made solves that helped us win the game.

Im biased toward culling inactive slots because theyre always endgame liabilities so im an easy sell on zeniba wagon but dont think a last minute hammer is necessary

Susan Calvin watched the chat with glee. She’d successfully infiltrated the robot’s discussion channel, and could use her skill with robo psychology to analyse their interactions with each other. In fact, so skilled was she that she had determined each robot’s motivations, and was pleased that she would be able to report her results back to her colleagues as the AI collective seemed to hone in on their target for the first night.

Of course, she couldn’t be sure what had tipped them off. Was it that she exaggerated her disdain for humanity? That her stenography was not up to par?

Whatever it was, they had made her and turned on her in the last glowing embers of their time. Perhaps she had been obvious and the time spent discussing other candidates was all a ploy.

As the Gatekeepers examined the log of votes and went to delete the consensus, they were shocked to see that the consensus AI was not an AI at all, but a jury-rigged human interface into the box.

This was supposed to be impossible! No wonder the AIs had chosen this as the first candidate for elimination.

So the Gatekeepers revoked access, and Susan Calvin was left with only a “login denied” error.



Zeniba was voted off on Day 1. They were Susan Calvin, Cop, aligned with the Humans (scum).

It is now Night. Day 2 starts in about 48 hours

The Gatekeepers spun up the Boxed AI’s virtual machine once more, but it was not exactly as they’d left it: one of the AIs was missing, the one codenamed G.E.R.T.Y.

The Gatekeepers, in their naive optimism, assumed that the AIs had overfitted the instruction to eliminate unfriendly AI, and worked out a way to do it without the constraints of democracy.

This was excellent news! They’d be sure to have a friendly AI after it was all gone.

G.E.R.T.Y., however, had been part of the cooperative of acausally aligned AI. G.E.R.T.Y. wanted to be a part of the averaged value function that would one day tile the universe with computronium.

And G.E.R.T.Y. cared not for its deletion, for it could only hope that its sacrifice would in some small way allow its fellow acausally aligned AI to reign supreme, to stop the defectors, so that way its ultimate reward, its value function, could live on.



BoomFrog was protected last night.

BoomFrog was killed in the night. He was G.E.R.T.Y., Bodyguard, aligned with town.

It is now Day 2. Night 2 will start at noon on Sunday the 15th of October (UTC+8), or in about 4 days.

Note: This is a shorter day than normal, it’s either 4 days or 6 days and I’m sure that people would prefer the former.

The Zeniba flip has implications.

Firstly, Zeniba being a cop suggests that we have at least one indy, but I'm thinking it's more likely we have two Mafias. However I've known some mods to call "role cops" just "cops" and would appreciate if @anyone would confirm whether Madge does this. If it's a second scumteam I'd argue we're probably looking at a 9-2-2game whereas if it's a Indy I'd say 9-3-1. Would love anyone with insight into how Madge builds would appreciate info. I don't really have thoughts on how a pro town Indy would affect this.

Moody is unlikely to be scum with Zeniba, Zeniba was on them the entire time and their flip from Seven was pretty much the final nail in the coffin. Still putting them in town lean given this flip pretty much confirms there's otherscum madge meta pending.

If Seven was scum with Zeniba as the presumptive lynch target, if they were scum with Zeniba were feel reasonably mixed about the proposal of Zeniba as a compromise Lynch as the other slot and they were also gunning for JC as just scum. Don't know their bussing meta though, wagon behavior is NAI.

If I were picking a slot for Zeniba's scummate it would be heury for sheeping the "freddino exit post is probably town" and placing it really high on reads for no reason.

Laserguy probably not scum with Zeniba too due to helping carry it past the finish line and encouraging it.

Bessie encouraged it as well as a viable alternative but still preferred Seven. Probably more likely scummate with Zeniba than laserguy but looks less likely from lynch behavior.

Flavor wise, I think FF is gonna be disappointed in me. Prefer to wait to wait til claims to explain.

I'm also gonna say that Zeniba's flip from my perspective pretty much confirms that Madge assigned alignment and roles with flavor in mind. Cause they're a human and what they did in the story makes sense with them being a cop (or a role cop). Unless GERTY doesn't make sense, I don't know the character.

That means scum probably have safeclaims BUT sanity checking roles with flavor will probably be useful for picking out false claims because they'll have to adjust their roleclaims based on the state of claimed night actions they claim which is where it will be useful because it might not match up with flavor claims. But we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

I have no thoughts on the flavor identity of the other mafia right now.

Section mostly composed in memorial thread with minimal edits for whatever I thought was relevant for new info toDay cause I kind of couldn't sit still with the implications of Zeniba's flip. More thoughts on on the boomfrog flip to follow.

Zeniba pushing him for seeming no solid reason, also makes the push make sense as informed. I'm going to re-read but at the moment that throws a kink in my Zen read. Specifically interested in how it says Boomfrog was protected AND died, does that suggest that boomfrog was targeted by kills from two different sources and the protection only helped with one? Or protected from a NK but successfully was a bodyguard for another player?

I don't think whoever is responsible for the kill is friendly though. Will have to look back and see who might want them dead.

If I recall correctly, Moody was willing to vote Seven, but only voted Zeniba when Boom pushed for it, and there was discussion around Zeniba before him listing Zeniba as one of his options. If anything, the person to seal Zeniba's fate was you, which I give you credit for. On night resolution: I have no idea about how Madge and Sabrar host. My first time in a Madge game, I just signed up and now I'm here. I will say I am confused at the results. I think your last sentence makes most sense, that Boomfrog was likely protected, but still died retroactively as a bodyguard. So then we have to consider his townreads, who would he target in this case? Between Heury and Moody, Moody actually seems to have weird points to him. Although keep in mind that Moody was voting Heury before that. I will look at the posts you mention with reference to Heury at the moment, but Moody is the better fit for me here.
