@Seven, I know I can't read your replies to this, but should I post this? I feel like it will hard push a scum read onto me, but I'm not sure there's any way to convince Bessie that she's wrong. This is not an actual request for an answer, just me throwing ideas around until I can convince myself one way or the other.

I appreciate y'all working together to vote off a townie, but Madge, you DO realize that Sabrar's just going to take the opportunity to NK you, right? Ah, you don't care. So, D1/2, you Millered Madge and I, and you got Sabrar this Dawn. Because you didn't win, that means that J did not become the Cop, so by voting him off today, you win. As the Cop, I would like to propose a deal with Sabrar: Help me eliminate Madge, then you can NK me

I don't know if those Miller targets are right, or if she's just taking a gamble on one of us not being double-Millerized due to becoming a cop. I don't know if her knowing I'm the cop would change her strategy at all, she seems pretty committed. I don't trust Sabrar to NK Madge, but I'm pretty confident he won't get Bessie, leaving her to kingmake between the two. Would telling her this convince her? I'm pretty much useless at this point, as the only read I can give is that someone is the Millerizer, at which point, we've already lost.

This is so spicy, I have no idea who's gonna win. I think it goes like this:

Sabrar kills Fred.
Final 3: bessie chooses between Sabrar and Mak

I'm soo tempted to peek the spoilers but it's been ages and I'm a little rusty, so I wanna try playing along as it were. Bear with me as I walk myself through the logic from the stove as we say.
There's no reason for anyone to false claim cop, so here's where I'm at:
- Fred: cop/miller
- J/Makhaira: likely Millerizer
- bessie??mafia??
If milleriser is eliminated today, hitman will off Fed, leaving a 2v1 endgame for tomorrow. If town is eliminated today, the hitman will shoot for the milleriser, leading either to a 2v1 endgame again or an instant game over at dawn D4. If mafia is eliminated today, it's also instant game over. Bessie, Sabrar and madge all seem to read Makhaira's slot as mafia, Fred has him as town, those aren't great prospects I'm honest. But also, what Sabrar said about Madge being milleriser because she implored mafia not to kill me has been rattling in my head a bit.I'm on the fence because madge warning the cop today would be some amazing reverse psychology in that case (on the other other hand, milleriser would be the most likely person to realise the import of the cop's identity. But then if Makhaira is indeed the last unmillered person*, the milleriser would already know that from not having won the game today. So madge migth actually want the cop to stay secret? Ugh, dammit I keep getting confused by who wins when).Both Sabrar and Fred seem to think that's the case and I see a good chance of bessie joining on that wagon and I have no idea who the mafia might be other than not Makhaira.

*which is the worst case scenario and therefore a good working assumption, but it's possible that the milleriser was unlucky and some of their picks are dead

Fred, while I think your cop claim was poorly thought out (unless you're mafia or milleriser playing 4D chess - if I was town I'd actually consider claiming cop at this point just for the lulz), it was an honest mistake and these moments are what i truly love about mafia. as town i'd be frustrated (as scum I'm so, so gleeful, but frustrated because it seems like you'll only vote for me or sabrar, both of whom i want to keep alive), but this comes with the territory.

i remember in my second game ever i didn't counterclaim doctor when i was doctor and i'm sure the townies were very frustrated with me for that, but it's how you learn, plus it's FUN

so Fred, I wholeheartedly approve of this, even if it's a strategic blunder. I hope you don't take any frustration personally, especially because mine is fake (but channelling how i'd actually feel as town so yeah)

Didn't expect town to come out of this one at all. Sabrar still has a path to victory though if he doesn't give up. Just needs to convince bessie to yeet Mak in lylo.

In addition, he put Sab as second-lowest on his reads, after town reading him all game, only having Madge lower.

I don't think I ever town read Sabrar. I had a scum lean on him since the start. I think there is enough evidence for Bessie to vote Sabrar next. But there's still all the prince j content to look past.

ok just started D2 and lol answered my own question, ok so somi was cop, got a guilty on heury who was then elim'd, and then somi got NK'd, so the power moved to a random universal backup still living, who based on current claims and lack of counterclaims, seems to be fred

Im assuming the backup that inherits the cop power does not get to investigate the same night they inherit, has this been confirmed? or did I miss fred claiming a new result?

I was told after the day had already begun because Seven "forgot". If I was supposed to be able to investigate, I did not get the opportunity. I assume that Cop investigates before the Mafia strikes.

Well, so much about my searing insight into the game, Madge's frustration was theater. Fred probably dies, leaving bessie as kingmaker between Sabrar and Makhaira. Hopefully Makhaira's late D3 analysis will convince her
